Hi, I would like to report some VPN Fusion bugs over here, hopefully @ASUSmy can help or send feedback to technical team to fix this before the next update is issued for GT-AC5300

Not just me though, almost all VPN Fusion users are ranting in ROG forums regarding about it.

This condition can be reproduce by connecting your router to any VPN servers you have, such as ExpressVPN and activate the vpn connection on the list then restart your router then you will see the problem I'm talking about.

1. VPN > VPN Fusion often restarts the router and display incorrect information after rebooting, such as internet is connected but displayed not connected on the Dash Board/Network Map.

2. VPN Fusion always hangs when clicked on it and render internet lags so bad until VPN Fusion tab page is loaded.

is asus usb-ac68 a good buy?
Are you going to use that in a desktop or a laptop?
If desktop, go with PCI-Express wireless card instead of USB

i can't find this feature in Dlink dir842!

this router's UI is very very simple... too simple, few options.

Do it in Asus router not the D-Link. Do it while connected to the LAN of Asus router.

U mean remove the dlink, connect ausu, use the asus to do the repeater setting?

Then, put back dlink, asus work as repeater?

I did once successfully using 2 asus but kinda forgot how... biggrin.gif

can't remember... biggrin.gif

but i think i cud access the 12hp's UI to change settings when cable connected to pc which is wifi connected to 1300uhp serving as main.

now, with the dlink as main, i can't.

in short, i can't access BOTH asus now that the Dlink is used as main.

summary... if anyone has any tip...

i am trying to use my rtac1300uhp as a repeater with dlink dir842 as main router.

i can't access the asus, whether using tablet or pc (wifi only).

what is the right connection(s), steps to get to the asus UI to change settings, set mode, etc...?

thank you for any help.

ASUSmy anything u can think of for above?

Hello ASUSmy

I'm having trouble setting the QOS Bandwidth Limiter on my RT-AC86U. Currently using UniFi Turbo 500Mb/s
I tried to put 1 device as 31Mb Download & 11 Upload
Only 1 iPad is set with the Bandwidth Limiter, the other devices is unlimited

The Bandwidth Limiter works fine on the iPad that I set the QOS to where SpeedTest is showing the exact speed that I set to
The iPad Speedtest gets exactly 30Mb/s download & 10Mb/s upload
But other devices is also affected by only getting 400Mb/s download & 100Mb/s upload

Why is other devices limited to 400Mb/s download when I didn't set any QOS to the other devices?

Reset the RT-AC1300UHP. Perform the settings I have shown just now using your comouter. Configure it into repeater mode. Done.

alright guys... after another run at it, success!

my pc is connected to the dlink (main router) via wifi.

the incorrect step was i kept trying it with the asus wan port connected to dlink lan port, failed to access the asus.

the correct step is to connect asus lan to the pc ethernet port.

with pc wifi active, get refreshed ip of the asus in dlink page client list.

use browser-ip, it goes to asus log in UI.

the rest is clear.

thanks for your help and comments.

must not forget how to do this again! biggrin.gif

If your package is 500Mbps, it consider GOOD.

what wifi client you are using?
*
I use my MacBook air, note 8,Lenovo Thinkpad X1 yoga, and iPad. All these give me more or less similar speeds.

Hi sHawTY,

When you enable QoS the NAT Acceleration will be disabled.

Thank you

Hi strafez,

Please double check the UNIFI account user name and password are correct.

Do a factory reset and redo the setup.

And try go to the WAN->Internet Connection-> MAC Address click on the MAC Clone button then apply.

If the problem still persist, please PM me your system log and setting file to me.

Thank you

Only if your visited websites support IPv6....... console.gif
Then you will get full speed even with QOS enabled.

Don't believe? Try downloading some stuff google drive (easier to test), ensure IPv6 is being used, ta-daa...500Mbps or 800Mbps on ipv6 even with QOS enabled.
