Using wifi analyser app found the signal gone missing few moments then come back.

This never happen to C1200.

May i ask. RT-N12HP default wireless setting will give those problems i listed in my first post? Or default wireless will work fine?

Maybe need to try only can know but if need to tweak, i will not accept the product.

There's a known "fix". I've been using the TM supplied C1200 for over a year and so far it's been okay. I guess I got one of the lucky fuss-free hardware. Mine's V1 and currently running a "stable" non-malaysian firmware. Those air quotes are cuz tplink later pulled that update from their site. Beats me why they did that as it works great so far. Been at least 2 weeks that it's been on 24/7.. Zero random reboots. I know cuz my WAN IP has remained the same all this time. My place isn't that big and just a couple walls and thus fits my needs for now.

The Anti-Surge is to protect the modem router from overcurrent such as lightning until 6000V. It is hardware based protection which is enabled by default.

This is the minimum voltage protection against lightning that modem need to meet in SIRIM requirement as we unable to predict how much voltage of a lightning when it struck.

To understand more, maybe you can refer to one of the SIRIM report ITU-T K.21.

Is it normal that my ASUS router(AC1200G+) when connect to 2.4Ghz wifi only has half of the speed compare to another HUAWEI usb modem router(E8372)?
It seems like there's something limiting the speed of the ASUS router. Because sometime the speed can same as the HUAWEI router but sometime it just stuck at around 10Mbps.
Both are 2.4Ghz wifi, same location top of the 2 meter height cabinet.

If connect to 5Ghz wifi on ASUS router is fine, speed is very fast and stable, just 2.4Ghz wifi act weird.

I don't work in Asus. But Asus normally fix stuffs even for super old router.

55UHP EOL a year ago.
I wouldn't say no, but hardly you come across a company still provide FW upgrade or solution on EOL product.

Thanks, finally my Asus RT-AC55UHP 300mbps speed cap issue was fixed after updated to this beta firmware.
Here is my speedtest results for both wifi on my phone and wired on my PC.

i try run multiple speed test it does achieve 500Mbps (enabled NAT acceleration, i will monitor whether the speed drop after few days, if it doesnt, maybe some setting recommend by other forumer works)

my UniFi is 500Mbps plan, I am able to get 500Mbps in speed test with two other computers through LAN

I tired with different channel / auto, still wandering ~250-300Mbps only from my iPhone 12 pro (iOS 14.3) and 11 pro (iOS 14.2), also tried reset the router once to start fresh, seems same
