May I ask, do you have more than 2 phone line? If no then you can consider RT-N14UHP.

The coverage range of RT-N14UHP are slightly better compare to RT-N56U.

If you want dual-band function and better RAM you can considering RT-N56U.

No, I'm using RT-N16 & RT-AC68U.

The only good thing about RT-N56U is that it supports dual band WiFi. 2.4GHz & 5GHz.
But as we all know, 5GHz WiFi coverage is quite weak when compared to 2.4GHz.

Below are a few comparisons between RT-N18U & RT-N56U

RT-N18U - External antennas - Upgradeable.
RT-N56U - Internal antennas - Non-upgradeable.

RT-N18U - 256MB
RT-N56U - 128MB

RT-N18U is a very new model. Replacing the out of production RT-N16.
So there's no surprise that there's very little review about it.
RT-N16 is no longer in production.
You wouldn't be able to find it in Malaysia nowadays except for 2nd hand units.

It's an old model, but a very solid performer nonetheless.
My 3 & ½ year old RT-N16 is still working perfectly.

Sorry for the late reply. Regarding the VOIP, if you only using 1 or 2 phone line, the phone line will be plug in to the modem in state of the router. So you won't face any problem if you replace the TM router.

And RT-N18U are able to support HyppTV.

Hi, anyone buy asus router from lazada before? I am planning to get rt14 uhp from lazada priced as low as rm257. All Asus router come with 3 years warranty right? If anything happens within the 3 years, can I claim warranty directly from asus Malaysia? Thanks !

The main different will be the RAM, AC56U  is 256MB while AC56S is 128MB.

2. are both compatible with unifi and hypptv?
Yes, both are compatible.

3. i saw some online retailer (eg. lazada) offer better pricing, if i get it online, where to get warranty support since asus has no service centre?
You will need to check with Lazada, as I know dealer are the one who post the item at Lazada. If anything happen, you will need to find back the dealer.

I have a problem I hoping ASUSmy can help with.

I just bought a RT-N18U yesterday. Flash to latest available firmware and factory reset it as stated in first page. All the setup n everything went well at first. I configure my Unifi + IPTV and plug in two ethernet device (NAS and PC). And I have a media player connected via WiFi. No other wifi devices. Not even phone or tablet.

I notice something very weird and frankly doesn't seems right. When I am streaming local media from my NAS to my media player (good speed, love the 450Mbps), if i were to do speed test on my PC at the same time, the router will cut the wifi bandwidth wayyyy down. Example if I playing a movie on my media player at 60Mbps, once I run speedtest on my pc (unifi 10Mbps) which is connected to the ethernet my wifi speed drop to below 250Kbps and stay that way as long as the speed test is running. Same thing for other type of load like Youtube or even a heavy webpage.

I try to play around with some settings but didn't help. Please advice... thanks.

not RTAC1200HP

the RT-AC1200 does not have that huge antenna and it got 4 antenna 2 for 2.4ghz and 2 for 5ghz

Yes...but how do i know its server problem?...Can't be everyday all server problem right? I've talk to CS recently they said they have no problem on their side. The question here it regarding ASUS Router...Do u know how to check if bandwidth bottleneck at router? Simple question.
