Do you know this from unboxing your NEX-6? Some people from Sony thought the A99 would not come with the adapter!

I gave the Nex 6 away as a present but I don't see any adapter when I was checking the box.

Neo_Lam should be able to clarify this to you as he also got a Nex 6 yesterday LOL

i guess it's quite pointless to have a full frame mirrorless camera when you needed an adapter to work with it like the VG900...

but i don't think NEX engineers develops lenses for the e-mount... probably they have a different division...

it means that 1650 got lens correction but only when you shoot in jpeg mode... if shoot in raw mode, there is not correction done on anything be it distortion, ca or whatever there is...

U got solve it in 2 ways...

1) using adobe to correct it... but as i tested, not so perfectly...

2) try to zoom in and snap the picture, glitches might reduce a bit... just avoid at 16mm if you try to shoot raw...
it is a known problem and hopefully it will solved in next firmware update sad.gif

usually pancake lens has all sorts of flaws regardless of make as it is much more challenging to develop with its space... or lack of it...

guys... what is the price of the 5R for those who got it?
*
price will not vary much with the RRP from sony due to price control...
you can ask for freebies or some "undertable" discount, it very much depends on your bargaining skill brows.gif

i heard there is a99 body unit in ipoh, throw at rm7+... end up sony know and stop supply that shop doh.gif

for screen, i do recommend get some hard type screen protector to shield it..
as for the pancake lens, it is using a 40.5mm filter and it is very rare in the market... brand like marumi, b+w will be a good choice...

Nex-6 now available at Midvalley, just today. Sony center Rm3199, keyC 3099, fotokem 2999 but all giving same freebies like 8gig card, small bag n some camera cleaning kit??

Just my brief hands on??
like:
- The EVF switching is very quick!
- Nice quality of the casing, doesn't feel like plastic at all.
- Top Dial definitely improves the speed of setting up.
- Silent and effortless Zoom.
- Compact size of the pancake zoom
- hotshoe!!

don't like:
- I felt the mode dial is too tight, and it's edges abit rough.
-NEX-7 top dial has a nicer feel
-Rubber grip is abit too grippy n abit sticky.
-The manual focus ring feels too loose, but perhaps that makes it more silent?
- the hdmi port cover is also too loose.

Just me 2cents view of the physical aspects of NEX-6.

Just wondering, how far 18-55mm Lens can zoom as compared to a 20x optical zoom point to shoot camera?

i think 1855 is 3X roughly 55 divided by 18. 20X no need NEX la, Lumix TZ and Nikon Coolpix can do it.

Yea, I asked 1 shop, says register online will get additional 3 months i think.. so 1 year + 3 months warranty. Was it 4 months?

err... can you like resize and attach a few sample pics here, much faster for others to spot and help out. But i won't worry though.. new cam still under warranty. Sony may not repair and might just give you a new unit.

yes, no battery charger for NEX-5R as well, so disappointing
so even we have extra battery, we can't use the camera cos the camera is needed to charge the other battery ....

I think if you're into macro photography should be worth it. But bear in mind the focal length is just 30mm, u need to get nearer to the object for maximum impact. The macro lens also can doubles as a normal prime lens, but a bit slower due to its maximum aperture f3.5.

Nex-6 and 5R , there's a Lens firmware update for the e-mount lenses. This is to support Fast Hybrid AF. There's also a play memories update. Go get them!

Hmm.. looks like the 16-50 is not listed as compatible with the first gen Nex-3, C3 and NEX-5 and 5N? Maybe someone can try it? Maybe it should work but have to live with the image distortions.

e-mount 1650 compatibility

Err.. how is NEX-6 video capturing?? is it good if you want to record for more than 1/2 hour??

anyone here got take the 30mm macro lens offer?
how the lens? worth to get?
*
just my 2 cents... i have one before but sell it away... the main reason i sell this lense because:

1) auto focus is really too slow
2) 30mm macro only applicable to static object, if want to shoot bugs or something alive, u will headache in a big time
3) this lens can't really named as a macro lens... try sigma 30F28 you will know why i say this smile.gif

Hmm.. looks like the 16-50 is not listed as compatible with the first gen Nex-3, C3 and NEX-5 and 5N?  Maybe someone can try it? Maybe it should work but have to live with the image distortions.

e-mount 1650 compatibility

Err.. how is NEX-6 video capturing?? is it good if you want to record for more than 1/2 hour??
*
i shot a video job with my nex5r, im surprise with the basic 1080mah batt can last me nearly n hour of usage
compare to a Canon 550D (using 1180mah batt) that only last min 30mins below

I have tried putting the new 16-50mm pancake zoom into the original NEX-5. The zoom trigger/button won't work, manual zoom and focus with the ring also won't work. No choice but to leave it at 16mm and tried to snap photo - AF wont work as well... i think the original NEX-5 and NEX-3 might need a firmware upgrade first before it can work with the new pancake zoom.

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of getting my self an NEX-5RY, the one with the telephoto lens. I am also thinking of getting the macro lens that's on promotion together with the camera. So far the best price I am being offered for the bundle is RM 3,850 in Penang.

Sony Alpha NEX-5RY (RM3,099)
• SELP1650 16-50mm Retractable Zoom Lens
• SEL55210 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3 Telephoto Lens
• Sony 16 GB SD Card (SF-16N10) (free upgrade from the 8 GB gift by Sony)
• Carrying Case (LCS-EMF)
• Additional Sony Battery (NP-FW50) + RM115
• Generic Charger + RM50
• SEL30M35 30mm f/3.5 Macro Lens + RM599

All the additional items are original Sony with exception of the charger. Is there anywhere else that I can get it cheaper?

I prefer NEX-5R to NEX-6 as it's smaller, fits my tiny hands better and it suits my needs. I am a newbie by the way, upgrading from my current Fujifilm FinePixs S5700 Semi-Pro.

All advice are welcome. Thank you.

hellooo all, just got my nex-5RL .. i am a convert from M43 Panasonic GF1.

I am so far very impressed with it -- i would say a much much better camera for NOOB like me who just wanted to point and shoot a fast moving kid.

The focus and speed are just amazing -- and of course dslr quality pic. Very happy with the camera. I did not get a good deal .. bought from sony centre at 2450 with 8gb and case. Did not realize that i could get a tripod throw in .. total warranty is 2 years + 3 months. Good ..

with this 3 lenses is almost enough for most occasion! i still short the SEL55210, plan to get it when I have enough budget for NEX-6Y set!

For battery charger, i think better get the original one. 3rd party batt is ok but the charger better be ori!

Just wondering if I purchased the sony 1+2 extended warranty, am I still eligible to get the extra 3 months warranty from the My Sony Online registration? hmm.gif

cause a sony salesman told me that the extra 3 months warranty is only valid for those who didn't purchase a extended warranty, just like to confirm this with anyone who bought the extended warranty before.

Did some off camera flash with Nex6.Shot with power zoom and using A-mount adapter with SAL 50mm 2.8 macro.
As a general camera think the size and power zoom is more than adequate but for off camera flash is a little weird to use.First off if you are constantly relying evf to frame shot like myself and a left eye user you will be obstructed by flat-bed trigger type (like phottix stratos) as hot-shoe position is too close to viewfinder.Somehow I will stick back with dslr if doing off camera flash.

Still need to get familiarized with handling first as now just felt a little underwhelmed by it.Perhaps with prolong usage I'll get to like it more. Some tweaks and cropping done on Lightroom with jpeg.

Don't use a filter, best solution. Why use filters? If it's for protection just use the supplied camera hood. That is good enough. It is funny that we spend so much $$ on camera+lens then go put a cheapo filter in front which might spoil the quality of the light going into the lens/sensor. If you must use a filter, then use a real original one - there are many fakes out there. you can find hoya 49mm filters for about RM30 via ebay, but whether they are real or not, don't know smile.gif Don't spoil the incoming light, just don't use a filter icon_idea.gif

If you must use a filter, then use a real original one - there are many fakes out there. you can find hoya 49mm filters for about RM30 via ebay, but whether they are real or not, don't know smile.gif Don't spoil the incoming light, just don't use a filter  icon_idea.gif

I dunno what problem is this....
butis better that you send back to the shop you buy asap....
so maybe they can change a new one for you...
if drag too long, later cannot change new one...have to send to warranty and wait them for fixing your camera... smile.gif
Above just my personal opinion..

If someone at here got faced this issue before and know how to deal with this issue pls help smile.gif

no worries bro...
figure out what is the problem first... do you have other e-mount lens to test with the raw shooting?
if no, maybe u can go zaloon borrow their lens and try it out (avoid the pancake zoom)
based on how you describe, i suspect there is a firmware flaw...

i will test mine tonight and let you know the result...

Daiso store has quite a number of screen protectors in various sizes. Each RM5 only smile.gif

You can measure and cut slightly, I bought one recently. Slightly matte so it does blur the screen a bit.

I had a bad experience with the Sony customer service today.
Called them as I found my online registered NEX-5RY has only 1 year warranty, instead of 1 year + 3 months.

The representative asked for my hp number and IC and then I addressed my problem.
He replied "this is because the promo is over". shocking.gif
I was not happy and ask him why is there a note in the camera box which indicates online warranty registration will get extra 3 months warranty.
The representative then asked me to wait for a few mins and then he told me he made the changes.

Now my NEX-5RY has 1 year + 6 months warranty. tongue.gif

Took nex6 for a spin at work today. Was delighted with it's compact size but in terms of serious IQ still fall back to canon dslr as taking consideration of post production workflow. Overall was useful when doing set-ups but still a little hard to take it seriously yet.

What is the speed of ur memory card? If you are using SD card, it denoted by the number on the SD card itself.

Basically i think it's quite worth it, but too bad its F2.8, performance wise not bad at all, Sharp, white balance ok, focusing quite fast, Japan made thumbup.gif , I dont own it but i personally tried it with my nex c3 at fotokem biggrin.gif

If Sony did not announce the coming 35mm f1.8, i getting this lens already. hmm.gif

Some sample shoot Here

If not mistaken is AF and without image stabilization... Works great with perfectly lit places or else u need to crank up the ISO, use higher shutter speed or use a tripod. That's just me coz I have dun have very stable hands tongue.gif

Some said this lens provide quality pictures rather than the sel16f28 and the sel30m35... But this lens is build by plastic except is lens mount to the camera..

IMO, it is worth for its price tag.. But becareful, some review around said not all copies allign to the center..

In your case, wider up aperture, shoot ISO up, making shutter speed faster might help.. Hmm OIS is useful, but SEL24Z18 gives
better feel of picture even it doesn't build with OIS

i am really tempted by the price (RM690 vs RM1400+-), but today i take out my old minolta 50mm 1.8 lens and try shooting indoor, its really hard to get satisfy result (for my noob skill of course) , so i guess i really need the OSS with 1.8 sad.gif

Hope this is true biggrin.gif
QUOTE
ePhotozine is the first website posting the full 35mmf /1.8 E-Mount lens review. The lens gets marked as “Highly Recommended” for the following reasons: “Sharpness is very good from maximum aperture, and can even be considered as outstanding as the lens is stopped down.Other optical anomalies, such as CAs, falloff and distortion are also kept well in check, plus the light weight and compact dimensions of the lens should make this an ideal addition to any serious NEX camera owners kit bag. The addition of optical stabilisation can only enhance the appeal of this lens.”

http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/first-35mm-...-at-ephotozine/

Another dilemma is either to buy 35mm 1.8 OR 10-18mm f4... Only 1 lens to buy and i really love to take landscape while travelling, but 35mm is something compact and "everyday useful lens", what to do rclxub.gif

Yeah, i tried the combo of wider aperture + high ISO + faster shutter speed = works great. But sometimes not all photo taken need to set open wide aperture especially landscape or group photo with too many people (center is sharp but the others at the side will become soft)

One thing which i have tried which works pretty well with manual focus lens it to use the EVF on my NEX-6 to compose and focus. Using the EVF our eyes/spectacles will provide some support to stabilize the camera.

For me i will go for the 35mm. I have tried using 45mm & 50 mm legacy lens and found that sometimes its too tight to use indoor, outdoors should not be a problem. But i think 35mm will be a good all rounder. 24mm will be too expensive for me blush.gif rclxub.gif

Hi, I'm a newbie who bought a nex 5n 2 weeks ago. Couldn't wait for 5r as my trip to tioman was last week. Oversea trip is early next month. Anyway no regret as 5r is about 700rm more than 5n and I'm quite happy with the quality of 5n. Will be posting some picture up . Please give some comments on how to improves them.

Hi all, may I ask NEX users here, anyone using SANDISK ULTRA Class 10 SD card here? This is the one labeled 30MB/s on the SD. Using this, in speed priority continuous drive mode, how many shots can you take before it starts to slow down/buffer? Setting: 4M, 3.2, STD quality. I'm using a class 6 and can get only about 5 shots before it slows down so wondering if it's just the buffer/interface or the speed of the SD...

Thanks!

Ok thanks... this is just normal class 10 right? What about Sandisk Ultra? That's supposed to be faster than class 10 in terms of write speed... anyone using this with their NEX?

I just figured out that I need to turn off lens correction, then I can easily get a burst of 10 shots even with class 6 in 16MP JPG, but in RAW+JPG only about 5 shots.

oh memory stick will beat any SD flat based on what i read... read somewhere it's due to the interface bus, wider on the ms compared to sd.

i just did a quick check on my class 6 SD, and this is the result. just wondering if using class 10 or sandisk ultra will allow longer continuous shots before it takes too long to clear the buffer to card.

Imma using Sandisk extreme 32gb 45mb/s, personally don't suggest ultra for the gap of the price.. The ultra 30mb/s on sale in groupon now if I'm not mistaken.. Hehe..

If budget allowed, you can even go for extreme with gold label, which is 95mb/s.. But I think nex don't need la..

Is there a noticeable difference using Extreme 45MB/s? If you take continuous shots, how many shots can you get before it slows down?

Ultra 30MB/s is about RM115, Extreme is about RM150 I think? Groupon sale price is no difference from what you can get from shops in lowyat, don't be easily fooled by the claims of high discount. brows.gif

the class 10 or whatever is for video
the mbp/s rating is for still photos

i read somewhere that you can buy the 45mbp/s extreme 32gb for rm130 at Low Yat plaza. Genuine card or not I dont know. Try going to the big stores.

anyway i just bought one sandisk 45mpb/s extreme for my RX100. I compare with an older Transcend class 6 card and there is no difference at all. Even compared with a 4gb Eye-Fi (i think this is a slow card) and no difference as well doh.gif
just get the 45mbp/s ones will do since they are not so expensive. less than Rm150 for a 32gb card

Video part is not true actually, the highest bitrate for NEX 5N/5R/6 is 28Mbps (this is 28 MegaBITS per sec) while the minimum write speed of a Class 4 SD card is already 4MB/s or 32Mbps (8 bits = 1 byte), which is well above the minimum required speed. That's why in the manual it is stated min is class 4. Most SD class 4 cards will give you higher than minimum, I had a class 4 sandisk before, benchmarked it and it was writing at 7MB/s or 56Mbps, more than double the requirement for 1080p 28M.

So for video, anything above class 4 is overkill.

But for photos, especially burst mode (10fps drool.gif) then lain cerita, cause how fast you can write to the SD card will determine how fast you can shoot continuously (assuming in camera buffer can tahan). And also of course higher SD card speed means you can copy to laptop/pc faster.. but I think that's not very important.

Sandisk extreme 32GB is only selling for RM96 after conversion at Amazon cry.gif

Updated note:hmm ok it looks like doesn't matter what card we use, it's 10fps then 2fps after that.... blush.gif

Updated note:hmm ok it looks like doesn't matter what card we use, it's 10fps then 2fps after that....  blush.gif

Added on November 15, 2012, 11:15 pmI'm going to buy an extra sd card soon. From the discussion above the conclusion is SanDisk ultra 45mbp/s is the one to buy. Or should I buy the 30mbp/s and save some money. What is the price of the 30mbp/s ? Another thing is I saw a very nice casing for Nex in sony centre. It will be great for travelling as compare to the bag that comes with original purchase. Any suggestion where to get accessories for a cheaper price than sony centre. Thanks in advance.

the class 10 or whatever is for video
the mbp/s rating is for still photos

i read somewhere that you can buy the 45mbp/s extreme 32gb for rm130 at Low Yat plaza.

*
I used to use the stock class 4 card that comes with my 5N and now using a class 10, there is a significant difference in time used when deleting photos and saving photos. Deleting each photo now is quicker by a few seconds. And if you do burst shot, video shooting, long shutter speed HDR shots, the camera processing blackout period after the shots are significantly shorter.

Thanks for the compliment. I shot in RAW and processed in LR4.2. Mainly playing with contrast and default presets.

I just upgrade my SEL24F18Z lens firmware to Ver.02... can feel slightly improvement with the "hybrid" focus rclxm9.gif
the most important thing is auto focus is more accurate when aperture wide open icon_idea.gif

to those who own lens that offered firmware upgrade v02 by sony, pls go ahead and upgrade it

Just got my NEX-6 and feel excited that a lot about photography that I need to learn.

In trying to maximise the wifi on Nex-6, I came across this article that may be of interest to other Nex5r or Nex6 users.

I have used the 18-55mm with CPL at Teluk Cempedak beach which i have borrowed from a fren. The 16-50mm PZ i used it at Cherating beach. I can say that the 16-50mm PZ, as a kit lens it good except for the distortion and also the slight vignette when taking photo at 16mm wide open.

Wah... SEL24F18Z... Poison Poison.... share some pics!

Oo... i have returned the 18-55mm... so can't test it unless buy a new ones.. haha.. But for now i will live with the 16-50mm PZ. As for the distortion of the 16-50mm PZ, i actually did not correct it. It is only very visible to the eyes if you taking photo with lots of straight lines like pillars, grids... Taking beach photo u won't notice the distortions as there is a lot of curves...

All the sifus,

Have a question on nex-5r, had a field trip this evening at Pavillion. Indoor shopping mall shooting with Portrait mode. Took about 100 pictures and mostly iso in the range of 1000 and above.

I notice a problem -- pictures are not that sharp when viewed on the computer with 100%. Pictures taken with JPG Fine and none processed. Below is a sample. I focused on the "lady" in black but when i viewed 100% -- i realized the clothes on the rack behind is on focus while the lady is actually not. She looked in focus when not viewed 100%.

Anybody know what i did wrong? This is only a sample -- most of 100 pics i took are having the same symptoms -- seems like the background is in focus rather than the subject.

Mode used: Scene - Portrait. When taking picture, ensured that green square box is focused and highlighted on the subject. Auto ISO - Aperture is mostly 3.5.

Auto ISO - Aperture is mostly 3.5.

this is what you have to learn together with your new camera... the LCD screen hard to tell you which item is in focus and which one is not until u view it in your computer...
like moon said, DMF stand for minor tuning using manual focus... utilize the focus peaking offered by your camera...

i have the same issue with my previous 5n, but after used to the system now ok d smile.gif

Hi, I am considering getting a NEX 6. Can anyone tell me where to get a good deal?

I would like to ask a few questions before committing.
1. AF - Noticed it has Fast Hybrid AF(phase-detection AF/contrast-detection AF). How does the camera switch between phase and contrast detection?

2. Recording media is Memory Stick, SD, SDHC, SDXC. So does this mean that the photos taken will be saved to two (2) media separately or what?

Thank you.

Register in Mysony and you will see only 12 months warranty (like me and some other forummer). Give Sony a call and walla! I get 18 months warranty now biggrin.gif

i randomly checked with some outlets at lyp, most selling between rm2750 to rm2999 for the nex-6.
for dydivine, i think their price is rm2800.
the nex-5r is some rm500 cheaper. personally prefer the 5r due to the touch screen (eventhough its resistive only) that able to flip almost 180 degrees, smaller and lighter.

hi there

like to ask, do you buy:

nex6 single lens selp1650 kit
or
nex6 twin lens selp1650 + sel55210 kit

is it worth paying the extra rm700 for the sel55210?

thank you.

vyruzj, nice set.

the 50mm gives quite a distracting bokeh no?

Your price is better than mine at rm2950 for the single kit lens. Is yours strictly the cash price and if u want to pay by credit card, there are additional charges?

Thanks.

Latest update, rm2888 for the sgl lens kit. Normal freebies but with two years warranty. If pay by cc, add 2%.

What does your RAZR charger look like? It won't charge with my DROID4 charger. The charge led will flash rapidly.

i believe is the sleep mode on the camera caused the problem... try half click the shutter button to wake the camera...

u can change the setting at [Setup > Power Saving Start Time]

I tried charging with the charger that came with my NEX-5R (US import) and it was really slow - 6 hours and it only got from 10% or so to 70ish%. So I got fedup and tried plugging the USB cable to my iPad charger (2A) and it "power charged" the battery to full in the next... 15 minutes?

Since then I have used my external battery (USB) with a 2.1A to charge it while on the road, and with just 1 spare battery I was able to survive (a peak of) 1.2k photos in a day during my trip last week.

However I noticed that it is picky when being charged from a charger that's not Sony's. Sometimes the LED charging light won't even turn on, but if you make sure the camera is turned off and you replug the cable, it'll likely work. Towards the end of the trip, chargers would randomly stop at around 78% every time - I have yet to figure out why. But it's really convenient to use my external battery to USB charge it while taking a bus or train or something - downtime between spots.

You will need to download the program from Adobe 1st

Adobe Lens Profile Downloader

Once installed, select Sony from the drop down list, Select Sony NEX-6, then you will see the 16-50mm PZ lens profile.

The lens profile will be used to correct RAW images only, JPG's is already corrected in the camera itself.

Dont think it is the sleep mode -- it freezed the moment i turned it on and took a snap. Not idling. I tried pressing all buttons. Eventually had to take out the battery.

hi all, anyone here using their NEX to record 1080p 50p 28Mbps video? Is the playback choppy? I thought maybe it was SD card speed (can't be cause 28Mbps is only 3.5MB/s which is well below even class 4 speed) - so I got a Sandisk Extreme 45MB/s read/write card (confirmed on PC, getting 40MB/s write speeds) but still the video is choppy.

Anyone else facing same problem?

I would say not easy to replicate - i had played with the camera for about 5 days and it happened only on one day which both incidents occured. The original zoom lens 16-50. no other lens bro. smile.gif

So just wondering if any forumer experienced the same thing ....

Hi,
where is it you find the video choppy, on the NEX or from your PC?

I shoot the highest quality 1080/50p from my NEX 7 and if viewed using Microsoft Media Player, the video is not smooth but on VLC is fine. Try using VLC

Did a bit more test and noticed video playback on NEX is not that bad, so tried MS Media Player instead and it works fine!!!! So on my laptop, VLC is NOT ok (already skip h264 filter) but media player is fine. Weird.

Hi,
If you want, please join us. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2550478/+220#entry56293560

i still accept order until 3pm but deposit must be paid to me before 3pm.

Based on current confirmed order, If you are getting Sigma 30mm f2.8 lens, the total shipping we are going to share will be $130 in total.

Then you need to pay $11.50 for shipping only.

Total Price in US$ = $149 + $11.50 = $160.5
Total Price in RM = $160.50 x 3.1 (Forex) = RM 497.55

After this round, i will not start V4 so soon as i have spent all my bonus sad.gif
Unless another member open V4 smile.gif

Depend on what you want to shoot more frequent.

19mm = 28.5mm (consider standard wide angle)
30mm = 45mm (consider 'standard' lens for 35mm film)

Since so cheap, get both smile.gif

30mm = 45mm (consider 'standard' lens for 35mm film)

Since so cheap, get both smile.gif

Hi,
If you want, please join us. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2550478/+220#entry56293560

i still accept order until 3pm but deposit must be paid to me before 3pm.

If you are expecting creamy bokeh for your head and shoulder portrait, all I can say is to avoid sigma 30mm 2.8 but as a walkaround lens it's sharp and worth the money.Great for street type of photography.

Furthermore for portrait angle you need to close in a lot like one step away from subject. It's more of half or full body portrait.Mindful minimum focus distance is about 12 inch.

I am also in the same situation. I am using D7000 + lots of lenses. Since I bought my GF1 2 years back, my D7000 just sitting in dry box. Until yesterday, I decided to let go all my Nikon gears and jump ship to Mirrorless fully.

Reason is I too used to the GF1 light weight and lazy to bring out the heavy Nikon gears!

Manual focussing with strobes it's kinda an oddball as I couldn't know what f-stop to which when using a manual adaptor. The Raw's file latitude is not bad and way richer when compare with 550d.

SAL 50mm f2.8 Macro,a not so "laku" lens because most macro shooter would prefer the 90/100 mm range. To me I really dig this range and sort of a 2 in 1 lens like a nifty 50 and a zoom with leg.CZ is releasing the same focal length for nex next year but can not justify the cost if you are not making money with it.Kinda hope tamron or sigma will release one!

Holy Shizzzz... Sony smart remote @ Play Memories mobile.

It really works rclxms.gif Sony. Click on android Screen to trigger NEX-6 to shoot. As you move the camera around, the android screen is refreshed almost instantly without lag.
haha.. I'm still feeling the chills..sweat.gif Only thing is NEX-6 interface feels laggy when u are doing this and the review button is disabled on NEX-6.

However, you need to have a Sony Entertainment Network ID to download the App into NEX-6, to log in via the camera itself. I tried my PS3 id (aih sad.gif.. ya.. Sony fanboy here) , which was a Jap ID and naturally, the camera menu went Jap too.. doh.gif

haha..no.. i can't read japanese

---------------------------------------------------------------

On another note, i tested Nex-5 with 1855 and Nex-6 with 1650 on the same scene to compare ISO 12800 at 35mm. Result I see at 80% magnification is cleaner Noise on NEX-6 with 1650. Swapping the 1855 onto NEX-6 same result which is a good thing.

Another good news is, the Old DI 622 markII triggers nicely on NEX-6. However, have to switch to Red indicator and manual set flash.

Thanks. I guess these steps are for those without PSN or SEN Id's. Otherwise, like in my case can reuse the Playstation 3 ID for NEX.
