Last night I off my devices and charged whole night
This morning I only got like 69 percents of battery after unplugged and switch it on
Anyone eexperienced the same problem as well?

Hello all, I just got my note 2 last friday at the mid valley launching.. I think I have some problem with the usb cable.. its a little shaky/loose when u plug it in.. I try my cable on my brother's note 1, it fits perfectly, not loose like mine.. it easily unplugged when I charge my phone beside my bed, n I only got 39% battery this morning><..

Does it happen to other users too? sad.gif

just start using yesterday. dl some apps. youtube a while then leave it there.

For a phone with such screen size and power its the best.

Moderate usage 1 day no problem if heavy usage like me up to7 hours on screen it last from 7.45am to 6.25pm extreme usage

Actually this been discussed thousand and one time already. Battery life is good for heavy user. For me, heavy using daily can last me about 21-24 hours.

If medium usage can last 1 day plus to 2.

Normal if you have fb and those stuffs running background.

Control your email refresh etc and you will see a better battery. However, if you are on stock, nothing much you can do. And, you should remember that smartphone battery can't last you a 3days straight... Unless you don't use smile.gif

Nope. New batteries do not need 8 hours. Charge it full enough.

Samsung shop, obviously. The one at 1U had a few to test. Only 1 unit of Note1 at the side. LYP Samsung shop should have a few too.

Hi guys, need help with the S-beam. I am trying out my Note2 S-beam with my friend's S3 but it doesnt seem to work.

1) Note 2 - stock Rom, NFC & S Beam turned ON

2) S3 - stock Rom, NFC on, Android Beam on, S-Beam on, Wifi Direct on

Tried to send a picture from Note 2 in Gallery to S3, when both phones touched on back (without casing), nothing happen (suppose to show 'tap to beam'). Tried to send picture from S3 to Note 2 via S Beam also cannot.

Anyone have the same problem?

i did try it with my wife's S3 during the weekend. Exchange some photos and videos of our kids. No problem send or receive from either S3 or Note II. The transfer speed is crazily fast - just seconds for a 148MB videos. shocking.gif

btw, tried it with my Note II Nillkin hard case on and her SGP leather case on - no need to remove the casing. thumbup.gif

ya, use it say for a month first and if no need no need to waste money, because everyone settings is diff, like if you always have a powerpoint most of the time (eg. office) or always driving with car-charger, i don't think the battery is necessary. for me, the 3 'embarrassing' incidents really warrants the purchase and also in a way a good example of having a phone with removable battery.

If want to try new rom, try ARHD but again. Play with your wanam first XD

Yeah...I have a car charger somewhere in my car...I hope laugh.gif

Anyway, battery life seems okay for me. Can last me 1 full day (or close to it) is way more than enough.

i got it from a fren working at samsung for RM170. you can get it from samsung shops at RM189. i saw a LYN seller here selling at RM180, posted there.

i believe you need to actually open the photo in your gallery... meaning click on the image under gallery (so it appears as full screen)... you cannot s-beam from from gallery album.

But this time I stick to stock coz I love writing with the s-pen. If swiftkey got handwritibg function, awesome!!

Connected my note 2 stock rom sme set to kies this morning for the first time and was prompted for firmware update. However I chose to delay the update cause battery low.

Now when my battery is full and kies does not detect any firmware upgrade. Reinstall kies also not helping. Any idea?

Yeah. If you ask me, battery life between Omega vs ARHD = equal. Both last me about 23 hours daily.

Wanam and HyperNote yet to try. However, like what uncle said, HyperNote could last longer as totally no bloatware. Omega if select Remove Bloatware could be as good as well.

It is either prompting you to register your Samsung account or have an upgrade option.

Pull down notification and you will see it.

Also, you do not need to uncheck Security setting to reinstall TB. You just need to tick USB debugging for that. Got mixed up heh? biggrin.gif Oh ya...that's why I said USUALLY...oh my english brows.gif

if you're new to Android, etc... better not.

with Android, you can download the program from many sources -- legal or otherwise. you are not limited to just apps from Google Play.

to install apps from these alternate sources... you need to check that box (to allow installation from non-Market source).

but yes, this is also used to install pirated apps.

why this hassle... because outside of the Market, Google can't really 'guarantee' the apps is safe. the 3rd party apps could have some virus programmed into it, or something like that.

but sometimes, yes... you need to use this. for example: tubemate is not available from Google Play. so, i need to download it from their website, check this box and then install the APK file.

i'd suggest that once you install whatever you want, uncheck the box. that way, you'll be safer. smile.gif

I think that works for Pro or Paid version only . I was using free version till recently and if I remember correctly , u need 2 check it for free version or else , u cant restore

With the link given, it said pro and not free. I am using pro version and never needed to check the feature. So i am assuming you are using the free one?

Either way, I always think (since you talk about TB) getting the pro version is a must for serious flasher.

For the said question earlier, alternative should be my backup pro or something like that.

He told me that he got it for RM2080 as he bought a few accessories close to RM700+ . Yaobao charger, flip case, 32gb class 10 sd card and so on. I guess because of buying alot of accessories, they "subsidized" the price of his phone.

Agreed. Heavy using like crazy still haven noticed any lag. EXCEPT for when I want to key in the password at the lock screen. That is slow!

OMG, after my colleague turn on the unknown resource download and put for me TubeMate, I got so addictive and download mp4 video into my Note 2.

1. I think the TubeMate download to my phone memory (storage/sdcard0/Video). Shouldn't it be /storage/extSdCard?

2. I asked my colleague how to move the files over, he tell be ES File Explorer and left to meet client. Can anyone teach me how to move the mp4 videos I downloaded to the external sd card?

but yes, there is a risk the screen can get damaged...

Guys. i had some issues.. today i acidently press VPN in settings and ask me to set password.. so i set it up. but later when everytime i unlock lock screen it prompt ask me to key in the password i set it earlier.. now when i go back to setting it seems i cant disable it.. no option or nothing. any tips guys?

Not sure if this works but you can try this.

Option 1:
Go to My Files and select the right file and move it like normal - long press and select move.

Option 2:
Check for setting on Tubemate. See if there is a default storage location you can select.

Option 3:
ES File Explorer. This I haven't kaji fully so...allow others to explain biggrin.gif

the chemical will seeps through the screen...i have 2 frens with damaged screen because of that, not instant but after some time..screen still working but colors are distorted, like oil slick with blobs of blue hues, not a good sight trust me...

use My Files (it's like Windows Explorer)... then look for the files... and copy them over. biggrin.gif

just experiment a bit... especially naming convention of the internal and external memory card...

update1: i'm assuming you meant the downloaded youtube videos...

btw, there's one nice Gangnam style video featuring Transformers (I'll leave it to your guys to guess who does the groin thrusting moves in the elevator)... biggrin.gif

Hi all, yes I was the one who made the remark to use alcohol and nail polish remover. Since these 2 substances seem unhealthy for the screen, anyone tried CRC contact cleaner? It's used for cleaning electronics and leaves no residue.

I use it to spray on chips to rub off heatsink compound. Very clean.

Licking is bad for the overall health of your device due to water content in saliva. whistling.gif

guys, sadly my pursue for note2 has ended. i was on the IVP48 for 3+ months after being with hotlink -> digi -> umobile

i spoke to someone at maxis and they said that

1) i not entitled for 999 (i heard elsewhere that they are looking for new customers>???)
2) i must pay 422.40 in penalty if i want to change packages

hence... its a lose lose situation for me even in the event i'm willing to be bound to maxis for a longer period...

sad...

Yup. I've read on other forums that they fray pretty easily.

Main reason why I went with a cheaper case and wait for the big guns (i.e. Vaja, Noreve) come out with some cases.

My Note2 hanged when i save my photo took using camera (super fine quality) to wallpaper. Anybody encounter tis problem?

Mine one also easily unplugged..I've found that the ori micro USB metal plug is shorter than my old nokia micro USB metal plug.....nokia micro USB cable fit really well.....you can try other micro USB cable & compare again.

I also noticed that as well. For me acceptable since I don't move my phone much during charging but heck that is irritating if you ask me. If I remember clearly, the s3 plug is better but again..nvm la have to leave with it ni blink.gif

it is safe to format the memory card on your phone on first time.. maybe it lags when your phone in difficulties trying to verify/access the SD card. happened to me before, when i first insert SD card, my device perform media scanning forever. then i reboot and reformat the SD card, problem gone

Not really true unless you have supersenses able to detect the difference
I m on extsdcard 64gb as internal memory several days absolutely no lag. Infact reading speeds is even faster than default internal sd based on several antutu benchmarking I have done

Love that function. Similar to tab 7 plus.
But hope it will support more apps like whatsapp or at least calculator.

One interesting thing is my live wallpaper will become normal wallpaper when the battery is low.

Damn it. Almost walked out of Senheng with a Grey unit, the last available stock. I was eyeing the white one. I kept my calm and quickly walked out of the store. I will be using this one for quite a while after this, not planning to change, so really need to be patient. sweat.gif

Having this note makes me wonder how cool is note 10.1. S-pen features is very useful but resticted by small space to write on this note. Thus makes me wonder how its like on note 10.1. Can make life almost paperless maybe. Thinking of getting nte 10.1 as well

Yesterday in Johor Bahru...my friend wanna buy grey color in Senheng & I've discovered in 4 Senheng stores...All grey colors IMEI was like 353666xxxxx & indicated "Made by Samsung" mayb not Made in Korea....not like my grey with IMEI 353627xxxxx.. which is "Made in Korea by Samsung" ..... But All whites in Senheng still with IMEI 35327xxxx with Made in Korea by Samsung.. blink.gif

At the end...We managed to found one grey with IMEI 35627xxxx Made in Korea in Tebrau City PDApro shop...with Free Bluetooth at RM2299 biggrin.gif

it will show MADE IN KOREA BY SAMSUNG

if Made by Samsung ( Made in China at Samsung plant in China)

i would say the quality is the almost the same even if it from korea or china. I a too lazy to explain why, just read the wall of text below. Anyone who is an engineer and work in production plant will know this

...im using mercury cover now and protect the bezel ....

Anyone bought games from Play Store before? I'm tempted to but my friend stopped me saying that some games are made for other devices - Tegra 2, Adreno, etc, etc.

If we buy the game, is it confirm 100% we can play on our device? What if cannot play? Will we get a refund?

Yes..you can ask for refund within a first 15mins.
Better read the games apps description first and see whethet compatible with your phone or not.

Doesnt matter. You can turn it off but after awhile, it will run back itself. Not everything can be stopped. Upon starting a new app, it night slow down abit cos the cache had been cleared.

Depends on how soon they register it for you. SOmetimes they lazy maybe. I oso bought a SME set on Saturday from SUbang Parade, outright - dowan contract nonsense. The dealer say within next 2 days will get the sms but i guess he was free after i left the shop and register cuz by the time i reach home both me and my wife got out e-warranty SMS from SME. Within less than an hour.

Guys noob here do we really need such a big size storage like 32 or 64gb? I m having a 8gb sd in my s2 never get a chance to fill up... Anything I hv miss? Or gamers need more space.... In fact I took a lot of pics most of the space are occupied by it...

for those who yet to get a case, consider something that can helps absorb impact on the big surface of screen because that's the most expensive part (RM1-1.2K part) as you will carry this phone everywhere in your pocket, bags..all the other plastic parts are cheap to replace...

It would take about 1-2 weeks trust me. My longest experienced was 2 weeks. Fastest was 1 day bought from SEP.

No no sorry not clear...what I was saying is there are some metal/hard silicone/aluminium case comes with tpu cushioning in the inside of the case to avoid scratches on the phone...the aluminium one I bought previously for my nexus dont have tpu, thats why scratched like nobody after a month of use as the aluminium rubbing on the phone in pocket.

all corners have those rubbers so the phone is sitting on the rubber and not against the metal.

Guys. Is there any thick rubber case which can withstand impact? I have used one on my 3GS and it last for 3 years. Now surveying on note 2 before I get phone itself.

shud be ok, ur info shud be in their registry already...they wont check whether u have sms or not but rather check ur registry based on imei

Even before register e-warranty you already can claim/exchange your faulty charger. Just bring along your official receipt when go to service centre.

That's real minimalist. My phone screen is chock full of widgets and icons for 1 page view of as much info as possible.
Used to having a HUD from playing flight sims. cool2.gif
