Lets say one family going for holiday in Japan, can just one representative go to embassy to submit visa application for the entire family or everyone who is going to Japan must be present to submit their respective documents ?

My travel agent advised to have about at least RM6k per person. If you have more, will be better la.

They are just afraid that you won't have enough funds when you are in japan and need their government's help.

If you don't have so much cash in your saving account, maybe you can ask for sponsorship. Someone that will bear all your expenses in Japan.

Not enuf, just ask somewan trusted you to bank in & out within days and you can ask the bank to CTC a copy of the bank statement wth balance >RM6K although temporary haha.

Otherwise, gurrantee letter from your employer that they all your expenses in Japan will be guranttee by them

Desk. You have to printout your online statement or any copy of statement or saving book and give the copy to your bank. They will know how to certify once you tell them for Japanese VISA purposes biggrin.gif One of the odd countries wth theier weird VISA requirment doh.gif

Oh..
If Kansai internally. it depends on how much and how far you go.
If you are the type who likes to go lots of places but stay at same hotel/hostel, Surutto or the JR-west pass is a bargain. Osaka is near to Nara, Kyoto, so theres no need to ride the shinkansen.
JR local trains would suffice. use hyperdia just to estimate ur daily train budget

I will be arriving in Fukuoka on Oct17 from Busan, n i havent submit my visa application yet LOL.
im doomed doh.gif  (im only at 20% planning) sweat.gif
*
Thanks for the feedback. Since I will be staying at same hostel, I will give JR-west pass a try. nod.gif Also I find Hyperdia is quite handy! thanks for the tips!

Now back to VISA application form, I need some advice on the following items

Guarantor or reference in Japan(Please provide details of the guarantor or the person to be visited in Japan)

Inviter in Japan(Please write 'same as above' if the inviting person and the guarantor are the same)

As I will be travelling solo (holiday), not quite sure whose name I should put there.

Added on September 24, 2012, 10:30 pmAhh..

B. HOLIDAY AND TRANSIT

*The column of guarantor/inviter is not required to fill in.
