Looks like Singapore & Korea radiation level is even higher then Sendai (Fukushima plant). Not sure how true is the information though.

So like you're saying, if I want to commute within Osaka/Shin Osaka - JR lines is the best choice , yes? Do you think I should be getting a -day pass as well? thats aabout 2,000 Yen if im not mistaken.

im going to jap on 24/12/12-04/01/13. cant wait for it but after i did some research, i found out many people said that during the new year, japan is basically shut down. they claim most shops or places of interest are usually close from 29/12 to 04/01. besides temples and shire.

is that true? now im kinda worried that i wont be able too see much stuff in jap due to the holiday season.

im planning to go to osaka, nara, kyoto, kobe on my first week. the 2nd week, will be toyko and nagono to see snow monkey and experience the snowy weather.

please advise me on the places im about to go. i dont want to go there and realise everything is close and whole town is quiet. then it will be a waste

If Kansai internally. it depends on how much and how far you go.
If you are the type who likes to go lots of places but stay at same hotel/hostel, Surutto or the JR-west pass is a bargain. Osaka is near to Nara, Kyoto, so theres no need to ride the shinkansen.
JR local trains would suffice. use hyperdia just to estimate ur daily train budget

I will be arriving in Fukuoka on Oct17 from Busan, n i havent submit my visa application yet LOL.

Just arrived from Tokyo this morning..flight delayed from 1130 to 230 in tbe morning..sheesh..Airasia..u would have expected that..anyway..Japan was awesome as I've expected..really wanna go again..have to start saving money again..thx to all sifu for advice and opinion that really helped me in planning my trip..Arigatou Gozaimashita!!

I check the route, I able to reach Hiroshima from Osaka by JRP. hmm i wan to ask is this there any Green Cars in this route? I checked with the web site, the route is Hikari railway and they stated this railway do not have Green Cars, is that true? I'm planned to purchase the Green Cars and have a try of the services, unfortunately it seems not allow me to do so.
