QUOTE(e-jump @ Sep 5 2012, 07:07 AM) simple I will be in a conference at Tokyo for one week and have 5 free days after that. Plan is to go Disney sea and head to kyoto and Osaka. calculate and sum it up. compare see whether depart from diff airport, or shinkansen/nightbus/flight back to same arrival airport is cheaper and cost/time efficient. no one can do/decide it for you coz its subjective when its cost+time Now the next question is whether Is it worth to invest any transport cards or passes. |

Hello all,
I am student on a tight budget. Was thinking whether is it worth to visit disney sea or not. otherwise i would spend the money on a bullet train instead of taking over night bus to kyoto/osaka. kinda in a dilemma now |

QUOTE(e-jump @ Dec 26 2012, 07:19 PM) If only once, really not worth it. well, due to my lack of budget, i am deciding between going to disney sea and taking the mid night bus to kyoto, or i scrape disney sea and use bullet train and have half a day more in kyoto/osaka. thoughts? Are you really need to travel fast and not stopping on the way at all? If you consider stopping, try to check hyperdia to get ur mix n match estimate train spending |

QUOTE(e-jump @ Dec 30 2012, 10:44 AM) if u already secured a good deal tix for disneysea, i think u can sacrifice Kyoto. hmmm what do you mean by a good deal ? there's an offer now which is 4900 yen for uni students until march. i'm aiming to go during august so not sure will the deal be available or not. anyway normal price is 6200 yen. so is this considered a good deal? it seems like a very beautiful place compared to the disney land on blogs that i've read and its much more worth it.I have no experience in long distance bus. worry u loose all the energy for next day due to uncomfortable journey. Kyoto wise, once you reached Kyoto, u can go few places on foot. central Kyoto has plenty of bus lines roaming, so u can mix n match foot+bus(with day pass). Most temples closes when sun sets(cant go in/can see from outside only). Osaka on the other hand is more of nighlife, where street market n food are lively at night thru the morning yes that's what i am worried about too. 8 hours on a bus may break someone especially i am travelling after a week of conference D: i was thinking of adding Kobe or Nara in the itinerary as well. the cheapest shinkasen is also nearing rm400-500. i guess i can't have everything |

QUOTE(Max_07s @ Jan 7 2013, 07:08 PM) QUOTE(amz_dreamz @ Jan 7 2013, 07:44 PM) QUOTE(e-jump @ Jan 7 2013, 09:40 PM) nah.. theyre like less an hour distance on the rapid train. well to be honest i am a bit tired of big and modern cities Osaka is more of modern, so its ok to visit at night. Kyoto is more of old city. not many sky scrapers. i have like 4 free days after my conference at tokyo. so for 1 day i plan to go disney sea and then stay at tokyo for another night. early next morning take bullet train down to kyoto. after checking in will visit some of the famous attractions in kyoto then head to kobe for night scenery? and then back to kyoto again. next day head to nara in the morning to visit the dear park and the gardens and shrines? then visit more of kyoto in the afternoon. evening time take bus to osaka and spend the night there. next day visit osaka castle and some other attractions and then go home to Malaysia. my flight is at 11pm so i have technically the whole day there. ok or not? QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jan 7 2013, 11:03 PM) symposium for pharmacy studentsQUOTE(e-jump @ Jan 7 2013, 11:40 PM) ^it should be OK. ohhhh. will it rain a lot during summer? ok thanks for the links!! But do take note, japan rain sucks, coz when it rains, it gonna rain whole friggin day. So always have a plan that have a 'must see' and 'naah, can skip' stuff. So when time comes, u can faster decide to rearrange plans Heres my trip on facebook to: - Kyoto, Hiroshima & Miyajima, Tokyo, Takayama (Gifu), Nara, Koyasan, Wakayama), Osaka - Seoul, Busan Oita-city. Fukuoka/Saga, Kyoto, Fukui, Kanazawa, Hakuba (Alpine route), Toyama, Kawaguchiko, Tokyo (not done yet) You can ask here or pm. will ask if there are any more questions (which i definitely have, especially accomodation and travelling from airport >_<) |

QUOTE(stimix @ Jan 11 2013, 09:51 AM) Where is your location? There are lotsa travel agencies in any towns & cities in M'sia.. Don;t tell me you can't find any? There sure to be Reliance, Mayflower, Apple, PYO & etc everywhere.. even in Puchong, I last count ~ 7-8 travel agencies..here runner fees means they help you to apply while you just provide all the documents right?I'm sure you can find other travel agencies around your city or town |
