I went to Osaka & Kyoto in February this year. Flight ticket + hotel + transport + food + souvenier etc all in RM9k for 2person. 10D,9N and were staying 4star hotel smile.gif

I am staying at "Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa" for 6days. The hotel is very big compare to Osaka hotel.

I don't think you can cover so many places. I went to Osaka & Kyoto last Feb. 10 days 9 nights also not enough cover.

i don't think i'm gonna go to universal studios and all that. so osaka is just food. 2 days kyoto, 1 day nara + uji, 1 day osaka, 1 day hikone

If you don't have so much cash in your saving account, maybe you can ask for sponsorship. Someone that will bear all your expenses in Japan.

Maybe you can check AA for promo price. Early this year, i booked (KL ~ Osaka ~ KL) 1month before my trip, only rm1,058 (2pax). I go Osaka & Kyoto only. Maybe you can estimate 1 meal 1,000yen per pax (max), so 1 day, spend for meal about 3,000 yen (per pax).Me & husband always share the food there coz too big portion. If eat too full, then can not try other food already. So as we passedby the restaurant, saw good food, we just enter. We really enjoy the food there. Once you are there, better don't so calculative. If not, then can not enjoy already.
As for transport, u can buy the day pass. cheaper. We spend about rm8,5k for our japan trip (10days, 9nights including transport from our house to airport (2ways), AA ticket, accomodation (4*), transport, souvenier, including telephone bill that cost us rm400).

Nothing is cheap from Japan. I check on LV and Prada and it is more expensive than Msia.
They have their own burberry called black label if i am not mistaken and it is not cheap also.
