Hi, I want to ask. Is Nikko doable in a day? Going in early April. Want to cover Toshogu shrine,Edo Wonderland, Kegon Fall & Lake Chuzenji. Thanks.

Hi. I am now finalizing the details of my vacation to Tokyo in April. Just need some clarifications on Nikko. I want to go to Nikko for a day tour. I stayed at Asakusa and want to take the Spacia at 7:30 am and reach Tobu Nikka around 9:16am.
I want to buy the All Nikko Pass + 1000 yen shrine pass since I want to visit All 3 shrines, Lake Churenji (Just taking photo, not taking the boat) , Kegon Waterfall & Shinkyo bridge. As per timetable the last rapid train is at 17:59. So is it doable or should I take the Spica at 19:24? Thanks for your help!!! |

Around 3.15pm, took the bus from outside Taiyuin Temple there to Shinkyo bridge. After Shinkyo, we waited for the bus and go back to Nikko main town area to walk around. When time to go, we walk back to Nikko station and back track the way we came. Reach Tokyo around 6pm. When are you going? Winter not much daylight so we had to rush a bit in visiting the temples. |
