Hi there, I got a question.

If I want to cancel my credit card but my credit card still got outstanding balance, how the outstanding balance be offset?
Pay back monthly?
*
Such option might be possible if you approach the bank via AKPK. (Means you are in deep financial trouble already) And AKPK will impose rules to you in order for you to do so. Would this be something you want to consider ?

Next time, please be financially responsible and use credit card accordingly .... had you done so, you wouldn't have any outstanding balance and you can cancel your card anytime you like without being tied to and terms imposed by the bank.

How do I temporary increase my CIMB gold card limit. I need to do an extra RM20k transaction above current limit for business. Is it possible?

Different banks have different T&C applied to their customers. I am not surprised as I have read such T&C before for my own cards.
Before you go about disputing this, please refer to your Ambank's T&C regarding such charges.

If such clause exist then I hope you will accept responsibility over your own oversight.

Anything if u feel that it is not make sense, just write to BNM.

Here was my case.

I owned the Citibank cash back before switching to OCBC Titanium.

At the time i cancel my cc, i found that i have some cash rebate (<RM50) but cant withdraw it (due to citibank policy saying that only withdraw-able at RM50 threshold )

therefore, i wrote to BNM and complaint about this issue. after that, citibank call me to explain about the policy, and nevertheless, ctbank agrees to pay me back and the refund cheque is being posted to my house~ Y^^

i have complainted to many banks and the BNM is the daigo..

Call Customer Service and request for it. They may ask you for the reason and then process your request accordingly.

I accidently pass someone my credit card. The person who holds my credit card is trustworthy. However, she insist on me to block the credit card just to be safe. She is on a trip for a month so it is not possible she will give me back the credit card anytime soon.

Is it possible temporary block the card for a month? If so, any penalty? Would it be better to replace the card, and will there be charges for this?

Temporary block, you need to unblock it within 24 hours or the card will be automatically cancelled. (This is MBB practice)
For other banks, you may check what is the policy.

Next time, under no circumstances give others access to your credit card. One of the major dangers of credit card ownership ... Negligence.

MBB practice is not that simple as you think.

To unblock them, you need to send them a letter stating "Request to unblock the card".

On the subject of Premium/Premier credit cards,

I have just noticed that there's another class above Mastercard World which is the Mastercard World Elite - Link. Check it out to anyone who's curious.

I already know the existence of this card level (MasterCard World Elite) since 5 years ago tongue.gif JP Morgan, the private bank, not its retail mass banking arm Chase, has been issuing MasterCard World Elite for a few years already.

Not really. Because I had on at least two occasions thought I lost my MBB credit card and call the bank immediately.
They temporarily block my card and they told me to call again if i found my card within 24 hours. That's why I am certain of the procedures.

I'm sharing my experience as well.

I forgotten to take my credit card at Tesco and I blocked the card for < 24 hours.

When I called the CS to unblock because I have discovered the card, they request me to write in a letter and fax the request to them.
