QUOTE(vgodmax @ Mar 23 2012, 03:44 PM) Has anyone focus on loan from credit cards? MBB has similar called Cash Treats with one time upfront interest of 3.88%. Not sure still valid for the interest fee.I know that Stan. Chart. has this Cheque On Call feature, which allow quick loan from the CL with attractive interest rate. How about others like Maybank or CIMB? |

QUOTE(iVW @ Apr 20 2012, 09:33 PM) Hi all sifu, since this is Q&A on credit card thread, I would like to ask something regarding credit card repayment. There's no such thing as interest free.Let's say I've owe credit card for an amount of 3K, and I plan to make a repayment for a 500 per month, can bank allow me to do that? I am a customer of Maybank BTW. Is there any suitable plan for me to repay the credit used, in an interest free way? Thanks You can opt for Ez Pay Plus. |

Received a call today from a CC agency and asked if I'm interested to clear my CC outstanding in more affordable method (personal loan, BT and etc).
Didn't ask much since I'm totally not interested at all! The number is 016 2285563. |

QUOTE(Riki1 @ Jan 1 2013, 10:22 AM) hi everyone, if I owe the bank 2k, and if i just pay the minimum only, how many percent they will charge for the rest of outstanding which has not paid ? There's a tiered system for the interest charge and it depends on which tier you fall into.Bear in mind that the interest is charged on daily basis. |

The interest rate will keep on compounding itself till you clear whatever outstanding.
Not a wise move to play with fire! |

Where can find the RHB buy 1, free 1 promotion thing? I can't find it in the website. The RHB agent said that it has been extended.
Thank you. This post has been edited by David83: Feb 24 2013, 02:12 PM |

QUOTE(a-ei-a @ Mar 2 2013, 11:01 PM) Is there any additional charge other than the 5% for cash advance (withdraw money using CC via ATM)? Does the cash advance enjoy 20 days interest free as per normal credit card transactions? No for the 2nd question. The interest will be started from the day of withdrawal till it is being cleared. |

QUOTE(a-ei-a @ Mar 3 2013, 12:12 AM) Thanks David83. Assume is 18% per year, the interest rate would be Amount withdrew x 18/365 X number of days from the day of withdrawal right? I'm not sure about the exact calculation. I believe it's compounded interest kind of thing. As long as you still have outstanding, they'll keep on charging you the interest on the outstanding amount. Sorry I have no experience on cash advances. This post has been edited by David83: Mar 3 2013, 12:16 AM |

MBB practice is not that simple as you think.
To unblock them, you need to send them a letter stating "Request to unblock the card". |

QUOTE(hye @ Mar 13 2013, 04:12 AM) Not really. Because I had on at least two occasions thought I lost my MBB credit card and call the bank immediately. I'm sharing my experience as well. They temporarily block my card and they told me to call again if i found my card within 24 hours. That's why I am certain of the procedures. I forgotten to take my credit card at Tesco and I blocked the card for < 24 hours. When I called the CS to unblock because I have discovered the card, they request me to write in a letter and fax the request to them. |

Received SMSes today from RHB stating that 2 CC have been approved - RHB Tesco and RHB Platinum-i
I was shocked as I didn't see it coming since no calls from RHB. I have to call the CS to cancel both of them. RHB Tesco: Cancellation reason is RHB agent deceived me with outdated campaign RHB Platinum-i: Cancellation reason is didn't apply this card at all! |

Usually they'll send out SMS to notify that your card is approved.
Better call UOB CS ASAP. It could be somebody mistyped the handphone number. |
