Is there any additional charge other than the 5% for cash advance (withdraw money using CC via ATM)? Does the cash advance enjoy 20 days interest free as per normal credit card transactions?

No for the 2nd question. The interest will be started from the day of withdrawal till it is being cleared.

Thanks David83. Assume is 18% per year, the interest rate would be Amount withdrew x 18/365 X number of days from the day of withdrawal right?

I'm not sure about the exact calculation. I believe it's compounded interest kind of thing. As long as you still have outstanding, they'll keep on charging you the interest on the outstanding amount.

Sorry I have no experience on cash advances.

And the reason we don't bother about the calculations because we strongly discourage it due to the high interest + compounding interest.
Please ... it's an honest advise although it sounds not very helpful.

Recommend you go for Maybankard 2 Cards and earn 5% cash back on weekends on top of 5X Treat Points everyday.

1. Not really sure what you mean. Is it that your card is suspended? I guess you can if the credit card account is still active e.g. you still receive monthly statements based on 16 digits account.
2. No. The other bank/card issuer will deposit funds into your CC account.

Guys, a friend applied for a personal loan for investment and paying the credit card debt.
Is this a good practice?

if the investment return is higher than the interest then no problem
credit card interest is higher than personal loan to pay it off with personal loan also no problem

but

like Geneva case alot people get personal loan to invest now all in trouble
after pay off the credit card is better for your friend to spend within own limit.. personal loan is still loan that need to pay off afterall
