Hi, my dad passed away last year and I realised he got UOB Midas Platinum Card. Hope to know what kind of privilege does he have and most importantly, all the balances in the account, are they covered by insurance scheme? Which means i dont need to pay the outstanding balance.

Where can find the RHB buy 1, free 1 promotion thing? I can't find it in the website. The RHB agent said that it has been extended.

Thank you.

Hi Gen X.. Welcome back.

So sorry to hear about ya blog. My friends and I use them as our credit card bible page. We went lost for a bit when it was removed. Can your fans write in as support for you to Google? What I get is that Google thought its some automated update and classified it as spam. The good side to this is your eyes can take a break from the constant reading and blogging.

Eventually we have to be stopped being spoonfed and venture on our own. I roughly got the style of your cc assessment techniques and tried it on my own. Just applied for the new HLB Wise CC.

Take care and rest well.. Im pretty sure a lot will appreciate the financial awareness you share in your blog. Thanks.

Hi all,
I'm using Alliance Platinum card right now, would like to ask in order to ask for the waiver of annual fees, I do need to swipe 12 times per year.

but it going to expire by May 2013, if I start using it form today with transaction like RM10 petrol 5 times per week until April (when it reached 12 times).

Will I eligible to ask for the annual fee waiver? It is up to any amount of retail transaction right?

anyone know of any non-business credit card that offers cheque facility?

I think both RHB and Hong Leong Bank offer this, but it is only for those who own a business. I am looking for the same for non business owners.

Thank you Sir your post above and wanting to write to google, I do appreciate it. Google have yet to response to my request to restore my genxgenygenz.blogspot. The thing is I don't have access to my latest articles too and as such I can't copy and post them and the other previous blogs at my older creditcardsmalaysia.blogspot and generationsxyz.blogspot. Anyway, if google do not restore it, it's fine with me because like I said, the person puling the strings up there must be telling me to stop blogging, haha.

I am glad that you now can evaluate and choose the right credit card(s) for your own spending pattern smile.gif

What you mentioned above should work; but, keeping the card will cost you RM50 in GST.

I guess what you looking for is unsecured loan facility. Citibank Ready Credit is one of them but the interest rates is just as high as cash withdrawal.

For short term unsecured loan facility using credit card limit, check out HLB Balance Transfer 3 to 6 months where they will deposit cash into your account. Click here to check out my article HLB CC What Are They Good For at my old blog. However, they is no promo "low" interest rate for Cash-On Call currently.

BNM ruling to qualify for a credit card -

Minimum age 21
Minimum income RM24K/year.

So, even if you are a student, technically you are eligible for a Principal credit card if you meet the above 2 conditions but you still be subjected to the card issuer(s) credit evaluation.

No, my reason for the checking facility is just for the convenience of using check when credit card can't be used. I sort of regretted when CIMB offered that facility through their credit card before.

Received two sms of unauthorised transaction at total USD 130 at Karma Loop Inc and American Express TRC on my Maybank Amex Card.
Reported to Maybank and they said they will freeze my card and reissue again.

My question is any chances they will bear the transaction, and how on earth can my credit card information being stolen? i thought the bank will request TARC number everytime we made online transaction.

So horrible nowaday....sad.gif
