QUOTE(kingsora @ Apr 4 2012, 11:41 AM) Guys, I wanna know one thing I made some purchase through installments using my credit card. So if I want to clear the installment in one shot is it possible? You need to read your term and conditions. Most banks charge a penalty for clearing the installments at one-go.

CIMB had a smart 0% flexi plan for medical bills. Supposedly expired last year but you can call in to enquire whether it is still valid. http://www.cimbbank.com.my/index.php?ch=43...&bb=7553&tpt=da

surprising as i thought MBB advertised epicentre as one of their preferred Apple vendors. (recall some brochures together with the statement). bet they won't be so preferred after this.

QUOTE(shawnk @ Apr 24 2012, 04:54 AM) The merchant claimed that I may have wrong billing address and requires me to fax in my billing address to confirm. I guess it's more towards verification than wrong billing address in this case. Thanks. Is this is an online merchant?

if your website does not use Verified By Visa and Mastercard Securecode, the banks will likely keep blocking once in a while.
There were post that MBB blocks Amex from being used on websites like AirAsia (which is certainly not a "untrusted" site) as there is no additional layer of online verification for that type of card.
Note: sometimes the sites themselves blocks Malaysian cards. HK MRT is one example that comes to mind. Malaysian cards are flagged as high risk.

QUOTE(PradaLee @ May 21 2012, 09:36 PM) 48 days lor. Wah, din realise the interest free period is so damn long! Looks like I need to plan the payment nicely to save some interest. Have been paying off randomly. The savings will not be much but just for the heck of it. there is no interest free period if you are already carrying a balance. Interest free only if you settle statement balance every month

QUOTE(Irbean @ Jun 8 2012, 06:28 PM) I'm aware about that. Just curious why client with over 3K salary and only 20% liability with clean record been declined in his application. Since I’m more interested to HSBC due to its worldwide recognition as I’m often traveling osea on company trip. no one here can answer you as they do not work in the HSBC processing dept. we can only share past experiences. I doubt even HSBC CS can answer you if you call in.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Jun 16 2012, 12:07 AM) I have swiped AUD$576 for a booking and later it was cancelled after 2 days and I got a refund. However, the refund amount is not the same. Take note that there was a double booking made by the merchant and was cancelled instantly. See picture. My question is, is the difference in amount is due to currency exchange, or there is a certain fee taken by the merchant? Thanks it's a normal buy and sell transaction. Paying in forex always cost more than getting forex. (look at forex rates) since it is a reversal, you contact your bank whether they will refund the difference (because no actual money changed hands). I had 2 cases, and the banks did refund without issue. Note: you must have a transaction for AUD X and a then a refund/reversal for the same AUD X amount so that the CS can see it right away

QUOTE(shalzkasbsp @ Jun 25 2012, 05:24 PM) Hi Just to check, Will i be penalised for late payment or interest if Statement Date : 06/06/2012 Payment Due Date :26/06/2012 Transaction Date : 10/06/2012 Amount : RM 210.00 Status : Paid RM 200. 00 Transaction Date : 19/06/2012 Amount: 100.00 Status : Fully paid on 23/06/2012 Transaction Date : 25/06/2012 Amount : RM 80 Status : Not paid yet. ( dont appear in system) Do i need to settle it by tomorrow to avoid interest charges or still okay? if I understand your question correctly, you only need to pay the full amount as of the statement date (06/06/2012) by 26/06/2012 to avoid late payment fees and interest charges. Any transaction after 06/06/2012 will be captured in the 06/07/2012 statement and is interest-free till 26/07/2012 as long as you settled the full statement balance of 06/06/2012 by 26/06/2012.
