I thought AA had abolished the counter check-in tax The only benefit of web check-in that I can think of is you can drop your bags straight away at the airport.

Cikopek,

Is it true on what you said? As I know some companies are still actively hiring.
My friends got hired by Microns and AMD and some SME as R&D just a while ago and the pay is not bad at all.

I am not too sure about the BIG picture of the industry whether it is dying or not. Can you elaborate more on that?

I am working for MIcron....lol
Yeap..Micron is still hiring... some companies like Syntronics, Infineon, Motorola, etc stil hiring..
But i do not see bright future for semicon in SG...if ur intention to come SG is only to earn SGD & then go bek MSIA after accumulating a certain amount...is ok
But if u want to make it big in SG ... fat chance...
If there is economy crisis... Semicon is the 1st field to be hit hard... followed by end products companies....
