Two issues. Firstly, you're a fresh grad. Therefore, why should any employer bother to go through the trouble and hassle of employing you i.e. a foreigner over a local citizen/PR fresh grad?
Secondly finance line is not exactly hot in recent history, what with HSBC cutting 30k jobs and all.

also the quota percentage.
HSBC cuts more than 100 jobs in Singapore

HI, im currently looking for jobs in singapore from various job portal. but it seem like no responses..start to feel a lil bit frustrate
Can anyone give me some advice.
Im fresh graduate in finance hoping to get my first job in singapore and have applied mostly in finance line. Is the employer in Singapore more likely to choose their citizen rather than malaysian? am i able to get offer interview by just use job portal or how?? seek for advice
not to discourage you but that is the situation now after 1 July 2011 on FT. what is more you are fresh and not PR/Singaporean. getting S-pass for you is also lot hassle if not enough of quota.
u should try in malaysia instead of just sg. some overseas banks are setting up new branches in KL if you follow up business news daily.
as a finance graduate, do you follow up on the market trend and adapt to it? sorry, i am from engineering background.
