QUOTE(gerrardling @ Sep 7 2011, 10:24 AM) http://www.standardchartered.com.my/person...ines/index.html The link did not say that those "supposedly" to be earning more than RM36k/pa do not have to update their income record at Standard Chartered.SCB already asking those who earn below 36k per annum to update their income record. Citibank already did that. Guess other bank will follow soon |

I own CCs from more than 2 issuers. My annual income atm is a couple of hundred short of the Rm 36,000 mark. All of my cards' anniversary are around May-July. My salary will increase next year, bringing my annual income over rm36k, when that happens. I have some questions some of you might be able to answer.
What if I do not cancel/ or bring down my cards down to only 2 after Dec 2011? Would I still be able to keep them and wait until the anniversary date of my cc in 2012? By that time (anniversary), I would provide my new income details. Thanks. |

As for your cc, it is visible to all banks and the bank will force you to cancel as they don't want to run foul of BNM rules. As for the consumer side ... it is either the banks or BNM will take action on you. As your income haven't exceed that mark, I doubt the bank will entertain you (if they do then they got to make exceptions to the whole of Malaysia). It is your word vs. what's written B&W. Why worry if your income will exceed that mark in 2012, you can always apply for another card anyway ? If you want to risk it then you can do so at your own risk. Is it possible bank will adjust his cc CL according to new BNM guideline? prior to submit the documents, his cc CL may be 20x of his monthly income. |

Even if the person know, no one is going to post such info here or risk losing their job with the bank. |

QUOTE(deity01 @ Sep 9 2011, 06:16 PM) noob question: when do bank start charging CC annual fees? upon approval like the GST? or after u hv use the CC for a year? it depends, if the card comes with 1st year free annual fee then the next year. Some cards even comes with up to 5 years annual fees. So ask and confirm before you sign up the terms and conditions. |

What can I do so that Maybank will report my new credit limit on CCRIS? They last increased my credit limit this January and it has been 9 months now. I need to know so that I can word my request properly as I do not want a backlash from them cause if it happens I scared they won't increase my credit limit for this year heh.
