1 question here, is there any credit card application that without need you to submit payslip but just a photostat copy of current CC with 1 year old after the new BNM rules implemented? May be applying from agents can by pass this?

There is no definite answer on this.

No matter you submit through agent/roadshow/direct at counter, you may or may not be required to submit additional docs.

Even if e.g. agent says no need docs, but once agent pass to bank CC processing, they may ask you to submit/fax/mail to them the docs.

Unless it is pre-approved CC that bank already send to you (not tele-marketer call that offer you CC)

I don't like to submit payslip together as i know i would get a lower credit limit. Lets say my salary only 8k, the new CC will only give max 25k CL? Meanwhile my other CC that more than 1year already given me 50k CL. So if i don't provide any salary slip, i may have the chance to get 50k or more than 50k CL... else i would just ending with 25k CL.

I'll be frank. My opinion is what you want is higher CL, but in the first place, you do not even get the CC approved yet.
It is like you want to run when you don't know how to walk yet.

What I would suggest is, you submit CC application form with all the salary/docs. But write in your CC form
* If my application is approved, unless bank can provide 100k credit limit, otherwise do not approve/send me the CC

Keep a copy of the form for your own reference.

If:
(i) The bank reject your application : move on with your life.
(ii) Bank approved with >100k CL, then fine with what you want.
(iii) Bank approved with <100k CL : this is what you do not want. So, you terminate the card immediately. Most likely bank will charge you RM50 GST, then you can use the application form photocopy to state that you do not wish to hold the card if CL <100k
*
Good suggestion, will try next time... smile.gif

Wonder anyone here owns UOB Preferred Platinum?

I was charged for annual fee of 388 and GSC 50.

Annual fee can be waived if I make one transaction from now on till 7 days later with any amount.

GSC 50 could not be waived anyway unless using point redemption.

Thinking to cancel right away since seldom use it.

Any privilege of holding this card?
*
I have this card too. As usual the annual fee waived, for my case, I need to spend RM300 continuously for the first 3 months. Call the CS to get the rm50 rebate.

Not much privilege except you can enter both LCCT and KLIA Premium Plaza Lounge during your travel (only applicable to the first 400 CC holder monthly)

LAst time when I had UOB Plat Visa and MC, I had to swipe 12 times each for auto waiver.

After I cancelled my MC, for my visa I have to swipe 12 times and spend RM3K to get auto waiver. So shiroijun, pretty good deal you got there. For this year, I have spent more than RM3K and therefore no need to worry about my coming annual fee.

I did rank UOB Pref Plat at No.7 for my article Malaysia Top 10 CC, click here to read about it.

And click here to read more about UOB Preferred Plat. UOB good for buying Coach handbags as we get SMART$ cash.

Actually, I will be going to Swiss Watch Gallery later this evening to check out what promotion they are offering UOB Preferred Plat card members (received invitation from UOB via  sms last week and had to reply to confirm). Anyone going there?

I think my application slightly different, they offering me 5 years annual fees waived without any conditions. It is thru some campaign i guess?

hi,

Wanna ask.

Currently i wanna apply ocbc titanium card, i'm using PBB gold card. For the PBB card i'm using the expiry date is july 2012. As i know, the government GST will be charge on the month of the expiry date. My statement cut off date is 12th of the month. I have received this month statement. may i know when exactly can i expect the GST to be charged?

I'm considering to cancel the PBB card before they charge me the GST. But i'm not sure whether ocbc will approve my application that fast. I've just registered my interest on OCBC web.

Thanks  notworthy.gif

The RM50 GST will be charge to your card on August statement

Anyone applied citibank premiermiles CC? It is a Visa Signature card but only required RM60k per annum... This is weird right? While the Plat card needs RM100k per annum. This is the highest card we can get from Malaysia for citibank?

1 more option you can do but it's not a good idea as well. Cash Advance from your credit card which having available credit limit and pay for the mininum payment. This is to avoid bad record... @@

CC noob here as I only carry one CC (MBB Visa Silver) and never been interested in other CCs. By next month I'll probably zero out my MBB balance also.

Last week got a call from HSBC saying I got a pre-approved Platinum-i card. Anyone know if this is worth keeping (rebates, etc) cause if not, when I get it I'll call HSBC straight to cancel it.
*
I think the card should be MPower Platinum card. It's basically a rebate card. 6% rebates on petrol and groceries.

This card having greater rebates compare to MBB Visa silver. Cancel the silver card and take the Mpower since it is pre-approved smile.gif

its not fixed. ur cl will increase back with the amount paid.

1st month = 7600
2nd month = 7800 (7600 + 200)
3rd month = 8000 (7800 + 200)
4th month = 8200 (8000 + 200)

but do remember, the limit will decreased with other swipe.

if dont want to submit income proof, use card with 100k CL notworthy.gif

u just want VS right? VS need salary of rm8.4k/month only ~

Ya VS is not hard, can get it easily but in order to get a VI...still long way to go.

I have a VS from citibank which much more easier to meet the requirement. 5k monthly salary will do
