Agreed. @onthefly you knew very well of your supplementary card status but yet you submitted the application. I won't speculate whether you intentionally or unknowingly submitted the card application - I believe you can answer this yourself and in fact well aware and in full knowledge of your own intent.
Well known fact that only principle card holders can use their card as reference. You cannot blame others except yourself in this case and appreciate if you don't compound the situation further by asking for the manager.
Ok it partly my mistake but i really do not know the procedure as this is my first time applying CC.
i want to apply as a principle. she ask me if i got any exisintg maybank card? i just show mine. i do not know until now that i can`t use a supp as a reference BUT last week i went with my fren and my fren did the same. show IC, pay slip, and a maybank sub card and next few hour he got his card. In my case., i gave my pay slip and IC but she said not needed.

wait a minute. i don't get it. you applied with a supp card as a reference card? i doubt it make any difference. the last card i applied don't even need any reference cards.
she ask if i have existing maybank card. i gladly show my supp card.
ok the question now is.. can i somehow still able to apply for this card? that fella told me
1) you can try to submit again at another branch
2) as me cancel my current sub card n apply again
3) ask some1 to apply for principle n give me sup
4) wait 6 monts
5) ask me open a FD account to get a card
i am sure things can be reverse or some exception. like wth 6 months ? don`t they want customer ? and the reason for calling in manager is not to find fault. i was hoping the superior one can overwrite rules as my fren applicatoin in HSBC got rejected, he called up manager and got it resubmit and he finally got his card.
