Purchases from Apple Online via CIMB/Direct Access Credit Card

For information purposes, I as well as other CIMB/DA credit card users have had our accounts charged higher than the amount invoiced by Apple Online (Malaysia, but based in Singapore) - I have filed an official dispute with CIMB/DA and am currently awaiting their response (Refer to iPad 2 online order status thread).

If no kind soul starts an individual topic as regards this matter soon, I will do so when I find the time.

Without going into the T&Cs of the CIMB/DA credit card agreement, I reason based on the fact that other banks including HSBC, Citibank and MBB (as reported in the iPad thread) only charge the amount as invoiced by Apple Online, CIMB is treating Apple Online transactions very differently, which explains the higher charges.

Will report back on progress of the matter when news/more info is available. If legal methods don't work, I guess there are always extra legal options - Facebook and LYN comes into mind.
*
SCB also doesn't charge extra...

its been a while since the last time i check my maybank2u page. found out today that i've been charged twice for the same transaction! i pump petrol at esso on 14may. in my transaction history, it is posted twice which is on 15may and 18may. i know for sure that i only pump once on that day, in fact the amount is exactly the same (60.02). i only pump once a week. my statement is only on the 28th. should i report now or wait until statement comes out? where to complaint? thanks..

Today got a call from HSBC offering me Visa Signature Card. GST and annual fee waive for 1st year.
I am still considering if I should take up the offer.
What is your say?

Why not get the card as part of the collection ?

When supplying salary slips as proof of income, do you blank out the EPF No and Bank Account No?
If the application form did not state how many months, will the latest month slip will do?
Thanks
*
usually the last 3 months is sufficient.

one of frend told me dat it is bit risk 2 apply for rhb cc as some aus do nt accept rhb cc transaction.
*
All CC would work in Australia. Just inform the bank on which country you will be using it at.
Best to select a CC which you already have Savings/Current account with E-Banking to ease payment.

noted on that

is it a good idea to send in my application forms to 2 diff bank ?

It all depends on how much Credit Limit is required each month for your spending in Australia.
Doesn't the company give a monthly allowance ?

better get hlb essential although its only has 1% cashback on everything, but it will be credited to ur cc instantly on ur statement. or get SCB cc, ronnie is their big fan, he can explain it to you the reason
*
SCB fan reporting in..

SCB Business Visa offers
1. 1% cashback (0.5% instant cash-back, 0.5% ChoicePoints redemption)
2. UNLIMITED KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge Access
3. 3X ChoicePoints for overseas spending

HLB Essential offers
1. 1% cashback (credit into your CC)

I use the SCB Business Visa for big purchase, places don't accept AMEX or whenever used up the Cash-Back on OCBC Titanium or Maybankard2 AMEX.

Just wondering, a small question, as currently on my hand i have at least 3-4 Possible MBB2 Gold/Plat Customers that is Very Potential and wants to apply those cards, and as a person who recommends them, they would like to offer me back some stuffs, but those that is Indirectly (like commission for helping them apply?).

So.. now my question is.. How to become a MB card agent? or...If Best, all cards agent, as if counted others like my friends... all graduated wants to own a card... biggrin.gif, and i foresee the opportunity >.< (Aka Part time agent)

tq~
