QUOTE(ikki9394 @ Aug 19 2011, 09:27 PM) Hi every1! just a quick question here. Im planning to get a D7000 soon as a new entry. Should I start off with 50mm 1.8G or 18-105mm VR or 18-200 VRII? Im interested in shooting on streets, faces, portrait and bokeh shots. I've read from a website saying as a starter should get a prime lens to learn. Then sooner find out what kinda lens i will need. Is that true? not true the truth is, use what ever in ur hands first.. fully utilize it first

Is that true? use kit lens first, find the range what you wan to get then baru get other lens...last time they recommended 50mm f/1.8D (not G) because that is cheapest prime lens, rm 3xx only...that's why recommended for newbies if they wan a prime lens to play play.

Icic... I was thinking of getting 50mm 1.8G because ppl in Flickr discussion recommended it as it suit my main requirement(streets and faces mainly). Plus it is 1 of the bestest budget prime lens as it is on the par with the 50mm 1.4G eventhought the price is twice less expensive.

QUOTE(BenSow @ Aug 19 2011, 11:07 PM) oh if paint over an area(want achieve solid black background) counted super impose? Might as well you cut out your subject and paste THAT in a solid black background instead? Easier than if you wan slowly paint all the nooks and crannies. And yeah, that would be super impose. Super imposing the subject onto the black b/g

Is this possible ? Hook external hard disk to d7000 and record video using the external hard disk memory.

Is that true? If you like bokeh, you need to get a fast lens. For example, the 50mm f1.8. It is the cheapest AF prime lens and a must have for all photographer. If you want more out from the 50mm lens, invest on the f1.4 version, you will never regret

QUOTE(eugene88 @ Aug 20 2011, 12:18 PM) G of course. It is sharp at wide open compared to D. Renders nicer smoother bokeh too.

Darkripper: cokin holder is rotatable. so u can just focus, then rotate the holder. or hold the holder when focusing.
