Would like to ask on Nikon D5100 and a 18-105 lens for RM3.1k is it worth it ?

guys, if the item were bought on may this year say.. SB900 got 10 month to go, unfilled warranty but lost the receipt.. does the warranty still valid..?

When I claimed for my 70200 VR2 they insisted for my receipt even when my warranty card is unfilled.

never heard of lucky draw stuff having warranty.

but receipt, lets say worse case scenario...
someone reported a serial number as stolen, and it happens to be the body u bring in for service.
with no receipt, how are u going to prove its urs?

Hi every1! just a quick question here. Im planning to get a D7000 soon as a new entry. Should I start off with 50mm 1.8G or 18-105mm VR or 18-200 VRII?

Im interested in shooting on streets, faces, portrait and bokeh shots.

I've read from a website saying as a starter should get a prime lens to learn. Then sooner find out what kinda lens i will need. Is that true?

handshake is quite apparent here..your photos are not exactly tack sharp.. if you have the money get the VR II version. Learn how to use you ISO properly as well to get a higher shutter speed. Lastly, you don't buy a tele lens and shoot f8-f11 all the time, it doesnt serve the purpose.

It turns out what i have been suspecting all this time is true, there is something wrong with my 80200 two touch. Ask the nikon guy at klcc to take a look at it at he say there seems to be some loose element inside, need to be tighten or something. Repair cost ranges from 150-200+

Now how often do you use your tele to shoot a group photo? If that's the case, might as well get a 70200 f4 and save a few thousand. Furthermore, the people in your group will not move and having low shutter speeds to shoot them is still quite possible.
dude, your tokina  is a UWA, not a tele. and for your tammy, f4 and f8 is a huge gap la bro.

The only thing i notice is that the foreground on left side blurry while right side sharp?

So its not due to DOF? I mean, can it be due to the left side is closer than the right sides? Just guessing.

You shoot wide open at f/4 on the 16-35? It's is never known to be sharp at the corners. No problem if you start shooting at f/5.6 onwards.

Depends... If you zoom at 200mm and you're very close to the subjects, DoF is very thin. But usually for 2 or 3 people chatting does not need f/8. f/4 is enough DoF. Not necessary to have all subjects sharp in informal shots. Formal ones should be sharp.
