hey there all... this is my 1mbps line modem stats... i already posted before but without the picture... can i upgrade my line to 4mbps...

my line very slow can any sifus help me out? thanks...

nope ur line is very bad......SNR is very low.....and the Attenuation is very high.......

so any other ways to apply 4mbps? and how to make my snr become high and make my attenuation become low... any solution for this? so if i call the tmnet the technician come to my house he will check the same thing? if 4mbps can't apply do you have any idea that i can apply for 2mbps?

Maybe not 4Mbps but isn't his line capped to 2Mbps? At least that is something.

Hi guys, just curious. I'm trying to apply for streamyx 4MB. Currently my condo unit has no phone line connection. TM mentioned they will send a guy to come and install the line.

The guy supposed to drop by today but FFK. According to them, this one guy will do both the line installation and streamyx setup. Is that normal or should it normally be 2 trips? one trip to setup the phone line and one more trip to setup streamyx?

For those area which hv been migrated to ICarePrime, phone line and Streamyx installation will be done on the same day.

Yes, he can use 2Mbps, but using the full maximum speed with bad line condition will lead to frequent disconnection...

Hi guys, I just been to my nearest TM point ask about 4MB. Darn they said my not available for 4MB and not even for 2MB.

Btw, below is the info from my modem. I think my line at least can support up to 2MB right?

your line may be able to support 4Mb or 2Mb but if they don't have any ports left at your area, then they can't upgrade your line even if they wanted to.

you can pm ahcheap for help. he is an authorized tm reseller here. his service is free.

Am with 1MB package since my 1st apply til now, and enjoying 1.5MB speed (which about 180-200kbps all these time, I know I'm getting extra from TM ). But they capped me back to exactly 1MB after their July - Aug worldwide maintenance.

And am going to move to new area soon, thus I planned to upgrade to 4MB by 1 shot. First email they E-Customer service and they return me a call, ask me to approach to the nearest TM point. And I did that today but with a disappointment.

ya thats one werid thing lolz....yes it may able to get 2mbps but i doubt its stability...

Does it affect your torrent if your line is unstable?

i have the same problem like you even my modem report my line is 2mb++

tat y i upgrade to 4mb now..

btw, the technician ppl will come to visit me by tomorrow... what they need to do for check my line?? or??? i need to pay TM for this???

Am on a 4Mb plan and my line is hard capped to 4091kbps but this is what I got today? What gives?

the engineer is coming for doin upgrade... but my line still at 1mb, he told me hav to wait til monday for the tm server to sync me to 4mb line?? izzit true??

Added on September 10, 2011, 10:48 ambro... may i know ur phone line quality? i means the tone... vy noise or not?? if yes... ask the engineer to check ur cable. i facing this when i stay at kampung type house... was complain few times and manage to get the engineer to replace the telekom line from the house til telekom db. it about 500m ++
and i get 2mb line speed. without disconnect issue lo..

The engineer giv me up to 5mb, i request for 6mb he told me to obvious... so...Zzzzz
