ya,i think so..
but i saw most of them got 4.xmbps and over ?  shakehead.gif
then i should stick with this speed
it's superb stable and the ping around 14 ~ 16ms only  brows.gif
stable and low ping worthy than anything i guess..  hmm.gif
*
those who got more then 4mb will have their speed reduced sooner or later. tm is capping all accounts to their respective subscribed speed. that is what their so called upgrading exercise is all about.

my speed test is the same like yours. nothing to worry about. smile.gif

after 2 weeks my 4mb upgrade still cannot get the speed.
max i get from speed test is 2.4mb, lowest i get 1.7mb, usually i get around 1.9mb-2.2mb.

they give me so many nonsense and excuses, finally  they offer me to downgrade back to 1mb, or go to unifi.

should i go to 2mb package? since the difference is only rm10, im afraid if go to 2mb package i will get lesser than 1.9mb-2.2mb.

not going back to 1mb cos the speed difference is around 100kb/s. unifi still not so interested in the moment. sad.gif
*
2mb package is better then 1mb. if your line still cannot support 4mb speed, then 2mb package is the best deal for you.

well, that's what the guy at TMpoint said. assumed it'd be quicker since go direct to them but guess not.link is already at 4092/511 and that was done 30mins after registration. However when checked with speedtest still 1MBps only.i'll be calling 100 in the morning tomorrow to see what's going on.
*
You have to wait at least 24 hours for the upgrade before you call them.

you using torrent? tm throttles torrents. without vpn you won't get full speed.

what does speedtest say? if it is still 3.2Mbps and higher, then everything is working fine and its either congestion or just our lousy performing links...
like the infamous Proton cars quote..."ini biasalah tongue.gif "

Added on August 12, 2011, 10:06 am10am.called installer.guy says something about needing to set jumper and will call back later to come in today.what jumper? hmm.gif
*
I think he means to set the port at the dslam in your area. otherwise you will be stuck at 1mb for life.

*
your line will be downgraded to 4mb soon after tm finish their "upgrading" exercise on their network.

update at 5.20pm. well i just love the way TM works  . the first guy who was assigned to come never called back.left him a message around 3pm.no response.called 100 just now and turns out now they've assigned a new guy to come and enable jumper.asked them how come other guy never came and they said they have no record of assigning this other person and only can see the new guy's name on their system.

god knows what jumper they need to enable if the modem already shows 4092/511 30mins after i went to register. now i've to wait till 10am tomorrow once more.
*
from my experiance when i was upgrading my line, my installer had to do something to the port at the dslam and he had to call the network center to "activate" the 4mb speed. he told me for new subscribers, it will be activated immediately but for those who are upgrading they have to wait at least 24 hours. not sure what this jumper is but i guess the soft cap on your line is still set at 1mb at the network center or this jumper they mentioned is not enabled yet.

pgcity, i also asked my installer about setting my line to 5mb but he told me if he did that, tm will trace it and "potong" your line. sweat.gif

like you said, all those who got 5mb will be downgraded back to 4mb and he don't matter if your modem shows it as 5mb because they can do it with a soft cap at tm network center. now you know why they are doing all those "upgrades". rolleyes.gif

your speed is ok. tm is adjusting all accounts to the speed they are paying for. so it's normal for your speed to be below 4mb.

call 100 and ask tm to send technician again. if still cannot get 4mb speed, then probably your line cannot support it.
