Reread my 2 sentences again. I'm not using poor salary to justify poor service. What I said was that there is no point venting to the person on the phone because he/she has no power to directly help you other than make a report for you. Ever heard of pay peanuts, get monkeys? The poor salary usually results in monkeys and unfortunately there are a lot of them.
The person cannot do anything about how incompetent this nation's telco companies are. Please always speak courteously and if the person is rude to you, make sure of their name and ask to speak to their manager. If they hang up, call back.
