Alot of people asking about BIZ5 package for home. Some claim the gateway is better/faster.

Is this true or there is a better explanation ?
*
there asking it because biz 5 package will no have data cap in near future compare to vip5 which is only temporary no limit.

Yes. Every time i dialed, I leave it off my ear first... Quite a long time before it actually dials!
RM95 @ shops in lowyat
But you must know that the beta firmware released for the tp-link is not fully compatible with HG655a huawei BTU(BTU for vdsl system-high rise building)
That extra latency is actually quite "extra". If you're on landed property, you'll probably get 5~10ms to KL server but my test shows 60~70ms. This is not a big deal if you're not going for serious online gaming. Ping to foreign country for me is very bad though. At least 500ms. Oh ya... I'm in a condo. However, if ping is your concern, you got no other options too. Since it's vdsl system, streamyx will have similar or higher ping too. You can't head for broadband(p1/yes/digi/...) because their ping is high too. Speed wise, VDSL won't affect ur speed. You can get full speed on it. I'm describing my case, can't apply for all though.

don't worry i am land property i am just thinking either get tp link or flash the tm one to dd wrt since the iptv will sure eat dust in my store for momment kakaka. Since iptv no offer any interest channel also

Can I just turn off that Dlink thing? I'm not using wifi.
*
u can't off that thing cause u need it to go internet but u can disable the wireless function inside the router setting.
All u need is just log in and disable wireless access

1. If during thunderstorm and lightning, do we need to off power to BTU, router and deck phone??
2. Will lightning fry them??
3. Do we need to unplug the fiber optic wire going into the BTU ??
When using streamyx last time, we used to unplug telephone line entering into modem.

no need to un plug the btu optic wire cause it no conduct electric. But you can turn off the device to prevent power down during thunder storm. Or install an AVR To protect it.
