I've try to open/close the door of the inspira, but when i slam the door, it makes me feel like i'm closing old cars door... no vacuum or smooth feels, imagine, if you get off the car, yes, maybe you'll slam hard on the door, but when you're in the car, you just close it slow, just like "tud" something like dat... but i try to close the inspira door, it click twice before close, so i always need to slam the door twice before close the door cause 1st time too slow, the door can't close... but the 1 i try is 1.8, 2.0 i dunno same or not... some more the glove box when open, it's fine, but when close, it's like wanna fell down like dat... i think lancer n inspira sure got something diff... but both is worth they're own...

perhaps you need to buy an Benz S-class. It comes with vacuum door system when it will "suck" itself closed. rclxms.gif But seriously, the doors are definitely not in range of more expensive cars. Like you say, it is what it is worth. But between Mit and P, it is your choice. Go ahead if you think RM30k is worth for a BETTER door..... shocking.gif

as for the glove compartment, it shuts fine. I don't slam it shut because I paid for it.... ohmy.gif The only complaint is it seems a bit too shallow to store more stuffs inside.

VW sirocco also has vacuum door... no need mers la... too expensive... dun think negative, i just share what i feels about inspira only, btw, i din think to buy inspira or lancer neither. The price like this the door should have done better la, dugong door is more easy to close compare with this one... other than that it's nice... but i think proton should come out with SE, cause the current edition the spoiler is way too small... and the bodykits also not so eyecathing, lancer spoiler is much much bigger and mean... maybe inspira owner can buy lancer bodykit to fit on inspira... lancer spoiler is nice!

missing tweeter is beyond me..... maybe a rush job. I was trying to listen to the tweeters but I thought the mid was too loud for me to catch anything. but alas... no tweeters. it won't be expensive to get that. I would probably add on a set soon. Now, I am getting the door visor first...

based on his story. what i could say is that the battery connection is loose.
this is one of forte owner experience. not a major issue if really connection issue.

when in showroom/car yard, they took out the battery cable. and re-install back during delivery time. but they did not connect them properly. intermittent prob & suddenly car back okay is similar i could say. just tighten back the battery terminal connection will do the job.

hope this is the issue here. so just chill for a while la. wait for his updated news.

As what I saw from the showroom, all was good except doors, seats and interiors as complaint by most of the people. That complaint I can ignore it because Made in Malaysia.

My concern was engine compartment, as from what i seen almost made in japan for both 4B10 and 4B11 model. From overview, copy directly from mitsu, it shouldn't go wrong cause didn't modify by proton. Undercarriage was further enhanced by lotus ride and handling, muct more better than original perhaps. 1.8 manual was the best for those keen to mod on it. For its CVT, I'm worry about the heat as I can't see the gear oil cooler. Don't know where, may be hidden.

For me, nothing to complaint cause I don't have more $$$ to get exact same 1.8 models car in Malaysia. As long as it performed well without give me headache, I give thumb up!

Furthermore, mitsubishi car no more stranger to us, many of us already paid to learn tutorial from them previous wira and satria mad.gif . We know how to take care of it...

Proton Inspira 1.8 (M) w/ABS, EBA & BA, Dual Disc Brake & Airbag, low drag coefficient & stronger chassis = Save our cost a lot of mod old wira / satria.

guys,

Are the doors and interior THAT bad compared to the lancer?

I havent been in a lancer, as in ipoh, there arent any in the showroom at the moment.

Especially the doors, are they that bad? it worries me if they left out safety bars that should have been there..

in ipoh's mitsu showroom, dont have lancer at the moment. either way, i'll be sticking with inspira. no other cars(except for forte, no offense, i dont like korean cars) can give better value.

for altis or civic, which are roughly 30k difference, the doors and interior are not important, just hopefully that proton dont remove those safety bars at the door( RISE body)

Maybe the batteries is Japan spec (the one with small terminal) which tend to loose and even breaks in our climate (several friend who brought back cars from Japan experience this).
