Any of you guys got experience sending the car to any of these service centers?

1. EON Jalan 225
2. Proton Edar Mutiara Damansara
3. Proton Edar, Section 13, PJ
4. Proton Edar Centre of Service Excellence, Subang Jaya

Any other recommendations?

Thanks for the info. Not using Proton any more is it? smile.gif How long ago did you go there? How about service time? Do they take long? How long would it take for (a) Lub Service (b) Minor Service © Major Service?

Still using proton, just that after 10k km,  about a year ago, all services done at SC nearest to the house. Did not require any warranty claims since , at 40k km now on the Persona. Therefore, no waiting required.

Service duration was standard, major job taking longer than minor. All according to Proton's Client Charter (piagam pelanggan) . So, do it at any other Proton SC with complete tools, equipment and diagnostics the time taken will  be the same.

Sorry , would not be able to give you the standard hours for different service categories. i whiled away the minutes by burying my face onto the PC screen, read newspapers and drink up in the canteen at COE. No qualms about going there again.

Thanks bro. I should give the place a try when I'm due for service. Do I need to make appointment or can drive in straight?

There is a security guard as you enter  the gated compound E, the covered reception area where you park before being attended to. Same place to collect car after ready serviced . No prior appointment the guard would ask you to go somewhere else.
Another set of guards at the main entrance beforehand, of course.

Always make the early morning appointments. They all break during lunchtime even if they are in the midst of doing your car.

Thanks a lot bro!

I would advice you to buy a new HU without the navigator & get a portable GPS unit instead. Imagine having to look at the HU located on the center of the dashboard while trying to drive and make sense of it all? Its tough and dangerous to me. With the portable GPS you can located it right in front of you and your head dont need to turn to view the navigation directions. Plus if you change or drive another car, you can bring together with you.

FYI, the Inspira 2.0 come with a portable GPS unit.

Yup, the engine oil is 5 liters. Sad thing is for the free 2 year maintenance Proton is only giving Syntium 800 which is semi synthetic. I don't think it's advisable to service every 10,000km with semi synthetic. Anyone can clarify?

Ohh.. So then i'll buy full synth and ask them to use that instead.. Give me the semi synth to put in my other car.. Hohoo... I think can kow tim one...
*
I think that's not possible cause syntium 800 only comes in 4L bottles. They'll probably open an extra 4L bottle and share among 4 cars..

bro..if its ok with u, pls giv us ur review of the car.. biggrin.gif
*
Well, honestly I'm not much of a reviewer. My only comparison will be my old Wira SE. smile.gif

Anyways, from driving the car the past week++, I've got to say the handling of the car is just excellent.. curves are taken so easily that sometimes you forget the car is going at 100+km/h.. my only gripe is I think my car was taken for a test drive by the COE people.. when I got my car it was a mess inside with bits of keropok in the cup tray and under the passenger side carpet!! shakehead.gif luckily my brother noticed and I straight went and vacuumed the car... the steering wheel also has some scratches near the volume button and the bottom of the steering wheel but very minor la.. cabin noise while driving is not too bad, although it's a bit loud when driving on hard tarmac..

Overall, I think this is the best Proton ever!

One thing for sure, I'm definitely going to get a lot of summons.. the CVT just begs you to tekaaaaaaannnnn only.. wink.gif

Didn't know you got your car, sorry about that. Just wondering did you get your car on the official launch or they have already started to deliver the cars to buyers already? Appreciate the feedback.

Your name should be added to the list of owners, thank you for the feedback. Your car model is?

Its very unprofessional to use your car as a test drive unit especially with left over food inside, they think its a cinema?  doh.gif
*
2.0, white..

What to do, Proton wants to change but it's people don't.. I really expected better from Proton, especially during launch day.. sad.gif

Personally.. I would've smacked the SA silly then demand that they give a replacement immediately, go complain to local tabloids/media ( thru journalist friends) and definately make a scene in front of their dealership while potential customers are about. Unforgivable!!! Respect people's stuff!!!
*
need so drastic measures? no point la.. 25 years already.. if they wanted to change, can change already..

At the very LEAST, SMACK the idiot...
Anyway.. Any Cons about the car you could point out? Or your exp with it has been all honey n sugar?
*
nothings all honey and sugar la.. tongue.gif cons, definitely got la..

1. boot space.. quite small compared even to my WiSE.. no thanks to the full size spare tyre..
2. would have expected the car to come with an auto-lock function.. I remember a Nissan Sentra I drove on 1999 had that function!! wink.gif
3. tweeters would have been great, since everything is ready already (case + wiring)..
4. fuel tank.. I prefer the fuel tank filler tube to be on the right (drivers side) instead of the left hand side.. have to walk to the other side of the car to pump petrol.. leceh la.. wink.gif

can't really think of anything else now..
