Your combined CLs from different banks will be treated as potential debts and thus affecting your loan repayment capability.

is it true what our friend say here, even though all the cards are clear every month and without any over outstanding?

put some time deposit and pledge to bank? sure can approve one...

btw, i wanna ask all, if we cancel our credit card using time deposit, how many days it took to withdrawl our fixed deposits?  hmm.gif

If you have cleared up all outstanding debt on your card and then cancel it, I see no reason why you can't withdraw your FD immediately since you have just let the bank used your money interest free. Why should the bank hold onto your money?

Your CL are visible to all banks and these are treated as liability (unsecured loan) to the bank's risk management department. (Don't argue about this classification)

We share this many times already before in the past and spoke/discussed this in many occasions. Did you read the past posts or are you lazy to even do a search ?

You are using your FD to pledge, it is a different treatment vs. you place your FD as normal means.
Have you done a FD pledge to cc before @wongpeter ?

Don't worry about it. Can be easily overcome by cancelling your card(s) or reduce your CL if the need arise. Just continue to settle in full and don't pay interest on outstanding balance.

What is the requirement for Alliance Younique card ? PA how much Rm ? Can't find the info in their website.
*
from the alliance bank officer (the one where i approach to apply for younique card),
Alliance Younique CC is a gold card, so the minimum income is 36k (no longer offering classic card)

however in practice, it differs, especially when you hold a cc with other bank with good credit history, they still consider you even u did not reach their requirement... may give it a try...

for this year they give me back rm50 as a "welcome gift" to offset government gst

Does anyone know where got Standard Chartered booth? I want to apply the free RM188 cards, and get some free gift... heehee...

Btw, does it means that if I apply for 2 Platinum cards (Visa & Master) and 1 Biz Platinum card I will get RM 188 X 3 = RM564? drool.gif
Thanks ya
There is one outside of Carrefour Mid Valley. Near Lavender Bakery.

Not necessarily so. Someone took such route but was declined. It was OCBC Bank for Titanium MasterCard, by the way.

Once the status of your credit card is confirmed to be canceled, the staff at the branch can help you to withdraw the money immediately. This is for HSBC only though. Not sure how it works for other banks as all banks practice a different policy.

It is not RM36k. It is only RM18k. Written so in their credit card application form.

So, what you are trying to say here is by having high CL is not a good sign, be careful!

As we know this CC topic already come to V12 and not everybody started it from the beginning, that's why we have repeat & repeated question over here from all members. And we are expecting sharing with politely. Please do not answer/share or even hit the reply button if you are not willing to explain/share in a polite or sincere way...

My suggestion answer: "Please refer to the past post or you can make a search on this question for further details"

true, but if you always pay in full and no other outstanding credit facilities, your loan app shud hv no prob

my total CL almost = my annual salary (previously exceeded, but request to reduce CL for 2 of the cards), but I still manage to get housing loan from 3 banks recently (applied 3 banks only)

of course, if you don't need the CL, reduce it

On another thought ... everyone's is entitled to their own opinion and myself included.
Too bad this person is asking others to subscribe to a personal opinion. I won't stoop so lowly like that. biggrin.gif

Is he always going to owe the bank money ? I mean not paying in full every month ? Because the Alliance Bank Younique MasterCard rate card doesn't give any Timeless Bonus Point or cash rebate.

From their website, it seems there are 3 packages to choose for the Younique card: Rebates, Rates and Rewards. For Rebates, theres up to 2% cash back (without any restriction, except the spending range from 2k - 5k, i think) and for Rewards, there is double Timless Bonus Points. The down side is you can only CHOOSE 1 "package" out of the 3 options.
