QUOTE(chemistry @ Oct 13 2010, 10:50 PM) I would advise you to quickly call 1300885000 to inquire what's going on. My sister also missed one private call last week. She has been complaining on the PENDING status, until today she called back to Call Centre and was told that the previous call was to verify some details in the application form. After the conversation and verification, the Officer told that application status will be known in 2 days' time. I have called CS yesterday. they said the status is pending and they could not check whether the high authority need more docs or need verification. since it is already 4 weeks +, maybe no hope for this card

QUOTE(Manuk1188 @ Nov 8 2010, 02:06 PM) Hi , I send my OCBC Tita.. Application via Email on 28th October, Thursday. On the 6th November, saturday, I received message, that my OCBC is on the way (via 7 days period). It really took 5 working days. Could it be, i will receiving a month later similar like others ? Thanks nope I received mine 2 days after that sms. ask to send to the nearest branch. my application was pending becoz I did not answer their verification call earlier. for other bank the result might be the application is declined but OCBC keep it pending until I give a call and the CS help me to find out the problem. the next day, the card was approved

my friend bought a desktop with the original receipt state RM1550 but the shop swipe RM 1581 because of 2% surcharge. can the original receipt n the cc slip become an evidence if he going to report to master card?

QUOTE(Milshah @ Nov 21 2010, 10:07 PM) By right the original receipt should show the 2% surcharge also....otherwise the worker can take the money for himself... it will be clear cut if the receipt showed 2% surcharge. normally shop will not state that in receipt instead they will increase the price on the receipt

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Nov 21 2010, 10:42 PM) Not that I agreed nor diasgree with the surharge but what is there to complain? By signing on the transaction slip your friend have agreed to the amount. Nobody force him to accept the surcharge. He has the option not to purchase the item. I bought a 23" LED last month at ALL IT, the saleman wanted to charge me extra 2% and I said no such thing as there was no mentioned of Cash Price Only on the item and in the end he agreed no surcharge. However I have paid 2% surcharge at certain merchants when I was being told upfront the price was Cash Price or there is a sign stating Cash Only prior to me agreeing on the price. QUOTE(hye @ Nov 22 2010, 08:55 AM) The shop will never do this (same goes to any merchant anywhere in the world) because it will clearly provide proof to the bank and to MC/VISA International that a surcharge was imposed due to the use of the cc and therefore the merchant has violated their T&C with the bank and MC/VISA International. That's why surcharges are always lumped together with the base price. There's a hefty penalty imposed to the merchant if there's a violated to the T&C. And the banks /VISA/MC International have a no nonsense attitude to this violation. I agree with Hye on this. by right my friend is agreed on the surcharge that is why he paid the extra 2%. once he discussed with me I was thinking whether we can lodge a complaint based on discrepancy of the original receipt and transaction slip. where the original receipt showed RM1550 and the slip showed RM1581. of course the original receipt did not showed any cost on the surcharge which can be a clear evidence for report.
