It took OCBC for 2 weeks to process my appeal and was only told just now that they needed the additional documents from me (which i have submitted for my loan application, which was approved by OCBC too).

According to them, i need to resubmit these documents as my loan has not been drawdown. This i find it ridiculous, as my issuing a LO that would mean the bank is agreeable and has accepted me as a eligible customer for the loan sum.

weird, if not bcz of the cash rebate, i woud have already fcuk them.

Quite a list, I was expecting just 1 or 2.  biggrin.gif
I shall try the one at SS2 since it's the nearest.

Taman Tun (the old one, not at Petronas)
Pusat Bdr Damansara

It does not come with the statement. It is just a letter from SCB and it applies to any SCB card. Maybe this week we will see it on SCB website.

yeah eventually suceeded in my appeal OCBC titanum icon_rolleyes.gif
i suspect that the reason why they rejected my application previously was because I did not submit all the supporting documents (althou i submitted photocopy of the Plat card, which i have been holding for years).

but this time around, have to say they are quite efficient, i emailed all the documents to them on friday's evening and got it approved today.

called the telephone computer system, it is weird, at first it played "unsucessful" then followed by "approved"

anyhow, m anciously waiting for the card's arrival and cant wait to fully utilise the card's benefit.. flex.gif

I guess with the maximum rebate available, i would be able to get at least RM100 cash rebate/month. 5% for all petrol, 5% for bill transactions 5% on dinning and 1% for other transaction.

Even if just taking the 1%; which is already very good compared to other banks cc...

ya now the hottest promotion, 5%+3% if u pay yr bill online.

OCBC Titanium rockssss flex.gif

But the rebates you'll get from this card will be more than enough to cover the credit card tax.
Please refer to this thread > Interbank Funds Transfers. Since you already bank with CIMB Bank, you might want to open a Basic Savings Account with them. Make sure you request for the one without any ATM Card annual fee  smile.gif

I already have a cimb bank acc
that link is inaccurate
as i said, js now was my first time doing SBC cc payment but was charged rm2 (according to the link, 1st 2 transaction is only rm0.50)

The CIMB Bank IBG charges listed there is definitely correct. Please read it again. You were charged RM2 per transfer because your savings account is NOT a Basic Savings Account which is why i suggested to open a BSA with CIMB Bank.
*
how do i know if mine is a basic accout or not?
can i convert the current one to a saving account?

From my experience is that you have to specifically request to open a Basic Savings Account or they will just open a regular savings account for you. As for how to find out your current account type, you can check it at any CIMB Bank branch. Alternatively, you can send them a secured message through cimbclicks.com.my.
It is possible with Hong Leong Bank. Not sure about CIMB Bank.

what's d diff btw a basic one and a regular one?

2 days' time is considered slow lor...Last time I left my name in its website, within 1 hour I received their call already.

I am also quite satisfactory with OCBC's efficiency in handling customer feedback/complaint. They manage to respond to customers within 24 hours. I have experienced thrice.
but their english is .....

I have no idea how fluent their English language is. I always get calls from Mandarin speaking officers, and I must say they speak really good Mandarin.

Maybe in their database there is a description stating my preferred language? I don't know.

depending on the officer, a chi officer wil speak to you in mandarin. Even their mandarin also very "chap ba lak".

I like HSBB's english.

Guys, i just received my Citibank Cash Back VISA Platinum credit card today via Poslaju. I actually applied for CIMB Bank World MasterCard and OCBC Titanium MasterCard before this. Many of you already know about the CIMB Bank story so i'll just skip that part. OCBC rejected my application. No reason was given and they did not ask me to provide my income documents either. The OCBC Bank customer service officer i spoke to just told me my application is unsuccessful but i can try to reapply again 6 months later (which i definitely will).

*
1. try to appeal (by calling the cus care) by sending all your supporting documents thru email cap@ocbc.com. I did that and got mine approved in 1 day-worth trying instead of waiting for another 6 months;

2. Did u rec the free smart tag? I received a sms saying its free to the sucessful applications for the Citibank Cash Back VISA Platinum credit card, although such information is not posted on net yet.

congrats btw.

Mm...any other SCB cardholder receive this 5% cashback on everything letter?

For the month of Nov, you can enjoy existing discount at some dining area + additional 5% rebate. Take Kenny Rogers for example, you get 15% + 5%, which is actually 19.25% discount.

Anything on OCBC Ti 1% purchase can transfer to SCB next month.
no woh i really din rec that leh

jz called ocbc (cant wait for that) was told that it was issued this morning. hopefully i can rec it tomorrow.

checked with the current promotion that they are having
apaarently doing online transaction is better as we are entitled to get 5+3% instead of us, eg, direct debit for phone bill, 5%.

that promotion wil end this year andmonies wil only be credited in jan next year

also as corectly stated, the CL offered is way lower, i wud say 30% lower than my current CL given by other banks...
