Thanks for the info, but can't understand why Citibank as an international bank doesn't offer this.

Any other options on how can I make the payment? I have only the Citibank card + Amex but the merchant doesn't accept Amex. sad.gif

Can I ask which website requires this 'Verified by VISA'? I have bought stuff online and some sites require this SecureCode when I use my StanChart Mastercard but I have never come across a site asking for 'Verified by VISA' when I use my Citibank Visa card.

100 also wanna witdrawn from cc?

You will kena cash advance fee of 5% or RM50 whichever is higher. Daily interest is calculated until full payment.
*
huh!? Is that correct? Does that mean cash withdrawal of RM100 from cc will kena RM50 cash advance fee? wow! shocking.gif

I need to clarify something. How is it that having the pin numbers to her credit cards enabled the fraudsters to withdraw monies from her 3 savings accounts? Aren't the cc accounts separate from the savings accounts? I thought only the atm card could access the savings account, no?

Does anyone know if OCBC team is conducting any roadshow this weekend? Want to drop by and apply the Titanium card and get the free gift.
*
What free gift are you referring to? Is it a free Apple iPhone offer?

put some time deposit and pledge to bank? sure can approve one...

btw, i wanna ask all, if we cancel our credit card using time deposit, how many days it took to withdrawl our fixed deposits?  hmm.gif
*
If you have cleared up all outstanding debt on your card and then cancel it, I see no reason why you can't withdraw your FD immediately since you have just let the bank used your money interest free. Why should the bank hold onto your money?

Your CL are visible to all banks and these are treated as liability (unsecured loan) to the bank's risk management department. (Don't argue about this classification)

We share this many times already before in the past and spoke/discussed this in many occasions. Did you read the past posts or are you lazy to even do a search ?

You are using your FD to pledge, it is a different treatment vs. you place your FD as normal means.
Have you done a FD pledge to cc before @wongpeter ?
*
No need to be sarcastic. I got sidetracked by 'FD' and was caught out on the word 'pledge'. This being a forum doesnt mean we have to have had experienced something before we can venture an opinion. I was giving an opinion. A simple reminder that a pledge is different from regular FD would have sufficed instead of being all sarcastic and asking if I had done this sort of thing before.

No apologies necessary as I wasn't looking for one anyway.

Hi all, I was reading Credit Card V.2 (if not mistaken) and came across some advise from forumers which telling not to make payment earlier than due date and I was wondering what happened if I pay my CC before due date..sorry if this is a silly question. I just got my CC last month. Never had one before that and I did pay up my outstanding balance before due date.

Please advise.
*
I need to clarify this. If the CC's due date is the 15th of the month and payment is made before that date, does it mean "make payment earlier than due date"?

Is that your question?

wow
i still got the same credit limit even though i have been using their card for 6 years...and my payment is really good for this year
ermmm....maybe i can threaten them by trying to terminate the card
*
"...and my payment is really good..." - I think therein lies your problem. Try a different strategy.
Pay the minimum amount on a balance of say 50% of your CL for say a year. If your CL is $7000, run up a balance of $3500 and then pay the minimum 5% for 12 months and then settle the entire amount. You may get a substantial increase in the CL. Does it actually work? - No guarantees but at the very least you already know that being a good paymaster and settling in full every month has not gotten you any CL increase. My 2cts.
