Maybe u can try to appeal for the result. I did that and it's succesful. Just send them a simple letter. But u need to send it personally to their branch at Jalan tun Perak (Credit Processing Department).

Did u called the OCBC automatic helpline machine after that, and that machine told you, your application unsuccessful twice?

Can anyone help me with this..
Is the uob one platinum credit card a real platinum card?

I just found that like citibank's cash back platinum card is not really a real plat card.

Thanks
*
YES, UOB ONE Platinum is a platinum card. And the minimum requirement income is 48k/pa just like the Citibank cashback platinum as what MilesAndMore describe. And both this UOB & Citibank cc are having almost the same features.

Oh yes @leozai

Quite a fair bit of places in Taiwan would impose a surcharge when you use your credit card. Do take note of that as it means your purchases would be more expensive.

thx dude... will take notice wif this.. hehe.

Anyone have idea how to get invitation for RHB Bank Visa Infinite card other than placing huge fixed deposit with them?
I know few of them with existing RHB Bank platinum card with more than 100k credit limit get the invitation.
However, when call in to enquire with their CS, they have no idea at all. rclxub.gif doh.gif

No way actually. It is strictly via invitation on internal bank upgrade.
I asked myself @ the bank and the friendly officer explained elaborately.

Seriously I don't know why you want to try this card. There're other better VI offerings out there. (IMHO)

You might be disappointed coz even with RM200K deposit you will only get a complimentary Gold card. A Platinum @ RM500K.
For VI ... it'll be a huge number.

Your CL are visible to all banks and these are treated as liability (unsecured loan) to the bank's risk management department. (Don't argue about this classification)

We share this many times already before in the past and spoke/discussed this in many occasions. Did you read the past posts or are you lazy to even do a search ?

Added on November 1, 2010, 8:05 pm

You are using your FD to pledge, it is a different treatment vs. you place your FD as normal means.
Have you done a FD pledge to cc before @wongpeter ?
*
No need to be sarcastic. I got sidetracked by 'FD' and was caught out on the word 'pledge'. This being a forum doesnt mean we have to have had experienced something before we can venture an opinion. I was giving an opinion. A simple reminder that a pledge is different from regular FD would have sufficed instead of being all sarcastic and asking if I had done this sort of thing before.

The rules have apparently changed when they changed the name from Infinity Banking to Premier Banking. All Premier Banking customers will now get a complimentary RHB Bank Platinum credit card regardless of your total relationship balance as long as you're a RHB Premier Banking customers. I think someone said here a while ago that your Premier relationship manager can get you the VISA Infinite if you have RM1 Million with RHB Bank.

Yah, RHB Premier Banking CS not very helpful but I guess that's because of their online system which don't provide them much info except what is already available in RHB website. My RM worse, he knows next to nuts except keep asking me to "play" forex.

To get RHB VI, as far as FD is concern I was told need min USD100K equivalent, with exchange rate now at 3.1 only need RM310K in FD. However there is an annual fee of RM1K for RHB VI. With RM300K in FD, better go deposit with another bank and earn extra interst of RM1,950 when comparing to present FD rate of 3.35% for a year at RHB.

RHB PB customer are issued RHB PB Debit Card where 1st year free and subsequent year RM50 (damn, equivalent to CC GST) but do get RHB Plat Visa free (also need to pay GST). However they is an advantage of getting a PB Debit Card as when you show the person controlling the Q ticket, you will be issued a Q number next in line by-passing others.

But like Hye mentioned, RHB CC not much offer; however, the VI do offer pretty good travel insurance when purchasing air ticket with it.

If you really really want RHB VI, go to your branch and get the Manager to recommend you for the card.

Wow ... this is something that I don't know. For RM1K in annual fee then might as well go for MBB's WMC version ... at least the point system is better (especially for overseas purchases) and you'll get access to the lounge for a few hundreds more.

@wongpeter. Apologies, I'll be nicer the next time around.
