I got mine upgraded just now, my HSBC is less then a year and I have a CIMB platinum.. it took me slightly more then an hour but no leather free gift??

I will hold DirectAccess Mastercard and OCBC Titanium (if approved).
If OCBC card failed, I will just hold the former.

I applied for OCBC Titanium a week ago, still no call or SMS from them Might have to call them in a day or two.

If OCBC failed, I'll probably apply for DirectAccess Mastercard. IMHO, it's the second best gold-level card in the market right now.

I think now it is easier to get worldcard de lo.. just like last time plat card.. haha

see stanchart world card requirement is so low le,,, then cimb one also no need rm200k/annum also can apply le..

actually direct access and cimb card got same standard? a lot of my friends dunno what is direct access.. haha

You really need to call them. Maybe your supporting documents are not clear and therefore left aside.

However, sometimes there are promo only for DA cardmembers. One example is the 2% fuel rebate.

I will cancel in 6 months time... of course after I ultilise the net RM138 cash rebate (RM188 deduct 50 GST)...

my scb agent also told me the same thing. anyway, once spend all the cashback they give, just cancel the card

They did cancel it before though. Anyway, i am still praying that it will be canceled one day but i don't really expect them to cancel it just after one year. May be they will cancel it before the next general election ? You know ? "Gula" for rakyat

Should be RM160. Anyway, they are also giving RM160 to those applying for the newly launched Advance VISA Platinum online too. And if you apply for the Advance account online, they will give you another RM30. So that's a total of RM190 free money

Instead of the CIMB MC Worldcard and VISA Infinite, I believe the MBB's offering is better but I doubt so they will waive the AF.

If MBB have a promo for this card, I think it is worth considering.

Talking about SCB Preferred Banking World MC, this SCB really pissed me of. As shown in the e-statement, RM50 service tax was charged on 8/9. I received the security pin number on 21/9. However, until today I have not received the physical card yet. I called SCB several times and was given the reply that they are still in the midst of issuing the card.

As I will make a big swipe within these few days, I will not accept this card if I only receive it after using other CCs to make the payment.
