Mind to tell how the RM1000 is spent ?
I believe groceries & petrol & utilities contribute at least 75% of household spending.
Something like this :

QUOTE(zenquix @ Aug 18 2010, 11:25 PM)
Thanks guys. For those interested, am attaching the application form i got.
Same as the one i was given yesterday morning.

QUOTE(ck_tonny @ Aug 18 2010, 11:25 PM)
If for Gen-X and Miles, shouldn't be a problem.
RM10,000/pa is no problem of course due to the high electricity, petrol cost etc smile.gif

QUOTE(jonuslee @ Aug 19 2010, 12:21 AM)
The OCBC titanium from 2011 onwards, the maximum capped at only RM50. Meaning that the only maximum rebate per month is only RM50?
Yes.

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Aug 19 2010, 12:58 AM)
Hi all, for OCBC Titanium if we auto debit insurance bill, we get 5% or 1%? The MCC thingy is not consumer friendly...

Most likely to be 5%.

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Aug 19 2010, 12:58 AM)
Yes, 1 month RM50 is enough to off set RM50 tax... tongue.gif

Simply charge RM10,000 in a year and they will give you RM50 to pay for the credit card service tax.

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Aug 19 2010, 12:58 AM)
OCBC consider as international bank?
Yes. It is. The bank is Singaporean and is the largest bank in Southeast Asia after DBS Bank.

QUOTE(Shinichi @ Aug 19 2010, 12:58 AM)
From here:
http://www.ocbccards.com.my/AnnualUsageBon...aqCoreCard.aspx

12x swipe per year for annual fee waiver do not include auto debit like phone bill payment or insurance? And how do we define "Any swipe transactions"?
Probably only those over the counter transactions which require you to sign on the receipt will be taken into account.

wonder if the OCBC Titanium card 5% discount  is more attractive than the Amex 5X reward point when converting to cash?
OCBC Titanium MasterCard is better. The AMEX 5x Membership Rewards Points equal to only 2.5% cash back.

QUOTE(ronnie @ Aug 19 2010, 10:20 AM)
IF we apply the OCBC Titanium now, it will charge you the RM50 for 2010, right ?
We get GST waiver only for 2011 onwards if you spend RM10k per year.
Yes.

QUOTE(Marcian @ Aug 19 2010, 10:23 AM)
I take it Titanium cards fall between Gold and Platinum?  The requirements are pretty low.
Yeah, something like that.

The ocbc titanium now seems to be the best CC in the market??
Clearly it is.

QUOTE(s@ni @ Aug 20 2010, 10:05 PM)
ocbc titanium ya?  hmm.gif
Yes. 5% cash back for any petrol station company. The maximum rebate for petrol is capped at RM30 though. What's more, just charge RM10,000 to your card in a year and they will credit an extra RM50 into your account to help you to pay for the credit card service tax thumbup.gif

but but but is it easy to do monthly payment for this CC since OCBC is not so popular than MBB, CIMB, etc?  hmm.gif
within 5km radius of my house, there is maybank,cimb,public,bsn,citibank,RHB.. but not OCBC laugh.gif
Just do an online IBG Giro. Depends on which bank you transfer the money from, the charge can vary from a mere RM0.50 to RM2.00.

Someone previously said no.

Just wondering - I have a HSBC card here which has a credit guarantee from HSBC offshore (UK)  as I don't have any income or savings at all in Malaysia, would this still gain me any kind of credit rating here if I'm paying off my card in full each month, to allow me to maybe apply for a different card in the future?
Yes. It will be recorded in your CCRIS. As for allowing you to apply for a different card. The banks require you to provide your employment details too. Not exactly sure how you're going to pull that off though.

On the same date itself, i submitted my documents to one of the officer in Puchong branch, then she said will contact me in case of anything. But she never did, I sms her asking my condition, she tak layan, call her, then she sounds very terrible, like I kacau her. WTF is this...

QUOTE(jesse23 @ Aug 21 2010, 10:38 AM)
And a month later, today morning, I received sms from hsbc, saying my application is declined because they DID NOT heard anything from me! now this is very irritating.... Y they treat customer like shit!?
Lodge a complaint. Don't let them get away with this.

Anyone have idea if HSBC Premier MC, HSBC Advance Visa Platinum and HSBC generic cc are combined credit limit or not?
Not exactly sure about HSBC Advance VISA Platinum since this card is still so new. Anyway, for the HSBC Premier MasterCard and the rest of the HSBC Generic credit cards, it all comes with its dedicated credit limit. Credit cards issued by HSBC Amanah is not combined with HSBC credit cards either (if you any any).

Give them a call. There might be a form you need to fill in. You'll have to submit your proof of income to prove you justify for the credit limit increase.

Standard Chartered Preferred Banking has finally arrived on our shore. Click HERE to find out more.

You'll need to place RM72,000 of deposit with them in order to open this account. Alternatively, you can also open this account by applying for the Preferred Banking World MasterCard using your payslip. The minimum required income is RM72,000/pa. Not exactly sure if this Preferred Banking World MasterCard is a complimentary card like its more prestigious cousin, the Priority Banking VISA Infinite. Anyone with more informations on this please let us know.

alliancebank cheat as well
Both companies are GLC. But this doesn't make them a department of the government. Not like those departments such as Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) anyway.

This banking package was unveiled just this morning. Anyway, this card does have better perks actually. For example, it gives you 2x Choice Points if you charge a minimum of RM1500 to the card each month (i think there is a cap though).

No. It is free. The one quoted above is "statement retrieval fee". Note the retrieval. It means your old statement.
