I got mine upgraded just now, my HSBC is less then a year and I have a CIMB platinum.. it took me slightly more then an hour but no leather free gift??

if the government is going to limit only 2 cc per person, which 2 card will you hold?

is the annual fee as below?

RM 1,000 (without MAS Golden Airlines Lounges Access)
RM 1,500 (with MAS Golden Airlines Lounges Access)

I use my HSBC as reference, CIMB photocopy HSBC only..

MBB Visa Plat. I think most of the current MBB Visa Plat got the acceptance form as well, not me only.
They send to my billing address.

I am paying for the option without MAS Golden Airlines Lounges Access.

No, no documents required for my case..

I doubt the approval is done at the back room, as per my case, I went back to the card centre after 50 minutes, the lady there ask for my NRIC again and keyed in to the system and said, " ya, your card is ready". Then she walk in to the "back room" and came out around 10 minutes with the cards..

I think the back room is to prepare the cards only...

They will charge the GST once the card is issued.

thinking to upgrade too but the annual fees really holding me

yupe, I got both CIMB WMC and VI which are free for life. I did not get the acceptance letter but I did call CS and they say I can upgrade to WMC. I have been using Maybank since 1995 and now with Petronas Platinum (also no annual fees) hopefully they can come out with the free annual fee plan as I see no differnce of Maybank WMC and CIMB WMC..
