Just received a call from OCBC CS. My pending application problem is cause by my billing address in CC application form is different from the record in their system. Last year I applied OCBC home loan using my old home address, now is new house address. After address is updated, CS ask me to check my application status next week.  ohmy.gif

It's a shame they did not call me to reconfirm my address. Instead they choose to left my application on pending recommendation status.  vmad.gif
If I did not call in to complain, I dont know how long do I need to wait. This is my 3rd complain to CS btw.  rclxub.gif

Your case is same as mine whereby my application was pending for so long. After 2 complaints, they told me the reason why pending.... Today, they approved me.

If you didn't call up, you don't know the reason and if no response from us, they will just reject it.

Any reasons why they do not recommend credit cards from local banks ? Maybank and CIMB Bank have the most offers throughout the year and they are supported for most 0% installment in the market, something which you might find useless at some point. Citibank and HSBC have lots of promotions too but the kind of promotion HSBC is having all the time will only benefit those high spenders.

Need to be more than 12-month old. This rule is made by BNM, if i'm not mistaken.

I too think local banks are too stingy (slow to response). Citibank give me some memorable time with Shell card while SCB was the first to offer money upon successful application + gst refund via points, and free gift from time to time.

Was thinking of applying for HSBC Platinum. It doesnt say much about annual fees on the website. Any idea if the annual fees is free or can be waived? Please advise. Thanks

Received call from OCBC Credit Processing Department. Said my NRIC and cc fax copies were too dark =.=
I requested to re-apply through email, and she really did give me an email! All the Customer Service officers said cannot apply via email, but this girl says can. What's going on?

You guys also can try to apply through "cap@ocbc.com". You may attach the form and supporting documents in Word/PDF/JPG format.

Actually, they are right. You do need to provide prove of income if required. After all, the existing card could be an FD secured card etc. tongue.gif

Great. Your application was approved 1 day before me.

Yes, the response is quite fast. Called me in the noon when complaint was sent in the morning. They asked for my employment letter.

If u send the e-mail to cap@ocbc.com, i think should write the title clearly.
Since so many people send to same e-mail account, hard to make sure is it your mail will send to that person.

No, that was sent to the agent's ocbc email, not cap.
