ive asked to cap higher but no luck sad.gif for now i rarely get dc only high latency when hosting game
well that case depends on upstream .

Dont. I asked TM to cap my 4Mbps to 5Mbps. My mode changed from FAST to INTERLEAVE. What interleave does is that its going to add 10-15ms on top of latency. Last time when I play TF2 @ Starhub servers its only 19ms , now its 33ms. Dont bother if youre a gamer. If you're on the FAST path go on with the fast path , else if you want higher speed opt to get it capped higher

Similar to my case, I requested to cap under 6Mbps, the mode automatically changed from Fath Path to Interleaved.

Thats why I dont want to lose my FAST path. FAST path means I am getting lowest latency when playing games which is pretty nice !

Looks good to me, you can request them to cap at 5Mbps , but be warned its going to be interleave most likely. Meaning you will see an increase in latency/ping response time. Your call

Keep 4Mbps and enjoy lower pings
or get faster speed and suffer a bit from high ping rates

If you're a gamer , take the former. If you're more into downloading and concern about speed do the latter.

Interleaver Deapth is the one that tells you whether you are on Fast Path or Interleaved. Fast Path will have interleaver value of 1. 2 Could mean you are on Interleave mode.

I am also locked to 3.6 MB MX510.

prasys, i also was thinking of making them cap my port to 5 mb. Capping the port 5mb, it is not as if they are making my speed 5mb, just that i can actually get my full 4 mb. Because the 3.6mb i am getting is based on their cap and nothing to do with best effort based on the range from server + server specs+connection etc ....

But i have given up and just waiting to migrate over to unifi tongue.gif

All i managed to achieve is get a new additional ip block, that is it.

I'm from JB.
Just some query, I just upgraded my 1mb to 4Mb BB deals package.
Tested my speed at speedometer, the max I can get is 3.6 Mb instead of full 4Mb.
So presumed they capped at 4Mb.
Called TM careline b4 and they claimed that if I can get 80% out of 4Mb which been advertised is considered normal.
but I feel been cheated becos what I get is not as advertised.
Can I make complain on this? in this case will they cap me at 5Mb after making such complaint?
Anyone gone thru this b4?
