U refresh ur contract for another 1 year of course i will be still using it since 2004 until now no other choices for ISP. If the Unify is in my place that's considered upgrade and i don't breach out my contract at all

i apply 4Mbps, my house, old house more than 20yrs. down/up stream 10dB/15dB.
download normally 200kbps. my IP is 218.x.x.x
i go TMpoint they say support 4Mbps, i call they say distance very good. support 4Mbps.
TM ppl come say my house not support, too far from the port.

but opposite my house, New house. my fren gt 4Mbps with down/up stream 32dB/20dB. download reach 400kbps. IP is 115.x.x.x

is thr the line problem? the place i connect my phone line to.
else why opposite my house can.. huh

old wiring and distance to port(maybe u assigned to more far apart port) etc all affected ur line quality and therefore the installer don wan install 4mbps for u

Make a SKMM complaint. Thats what I did. 13dB becomes 30dB after they rewire some of the poles.

I'm living near New Village area, and using 4Mbps. My area the telephone wires are pretty old though, so my SNR Margin is very crappy, but nevertheless it's very stable and so far no disconnection.

Added on June 5, 2010, 8:43 amActually no matter what SNR margin, as long as it's more than 6, you should be able to apply for 4Mbps, but with a high risk of disconnection.

My SNR margin is only 5-7 db which is really on the border for a ADSL2+.... as you can see this is my pingtest. Everything is awesome, but the only thing I will face problem is Packet Loss due to the increase in HEC errors,

ive asked to cap higher but no luck for now i rarely get dc only high latency when hosting game
well that case depends on upstream .

i juz upgrade frm 1Mb to 4Mb
i see the statistic modem thr also cap at 4092 downstream,how do i ask for higher cap. is call 100 ask for the higher cap or call the technician?
last time when i in 1Mb package it cap at 2Mb ,i can get around 1.4Mb/s
now dl max speed only around 3.45Mb/s like tat ...so sad.
