??? Try to win some vote from those who work in SG with car?

Good try. They should do this even after the election.

but... do those who can own a SG car with SG salary really need the petrol subsidy? I don't mind paying a bit tax if they use the money well for the people, not to send another clown to play gasing in the space.

The are some "private taxi" from Malaysia, ~S$50 for a trip from SG direct to Senai. Good if you have to catch a flight in early am or late night. hassle free. They pick you up at your SG door step, provide return trip service as well. I used the service years ago, the rate might change.

At least the petrol station I visited in melaka and johor have the notice that SG car plate can only pump 97. I don't care coz I want to pump 97 anyway.

ok, regarding the questions i asked earlier in the thread. We can drive in a foreign registered Vehicle to Singapore without needing to hold a Singapore License unless we are a PR. a PR is not allowed to drive foreign registered vehicle in Singapore. VEP charge of $4 a day is required for Bikes and $20 for Cars. Besides that, if u are using the causeway, u would need to pay $1.20 as a toll fees (for cars, bikes are free). And make sure u have a Touch and Go card with you cause u need the touch and go to pay the Malaysia's toll (RM2.80 if not mistaken) when u reach the CIQ building. for Cars, a $5 charge for a day if u pass by any ERP gantry. its a fixed rate thing so u can pass by as many ERP as u want for $5. For motorcycle, Please make sure u install the IU device if u intend to pass by any ERP gantry. Because if u pass by any gantry without the IU device, a $70 fees will be charge for every gantry u pass by. The installation fees for the IU device is $155.80. hope this helps.

Me and most of us here did the opposite by landing ourselves a job first before settling down at sg. Make sure you have adequate support (relative staying in sg as an example) during your job hunting period. Otherwise, you are going to create a really big hole in your pocket.

For a start, try jobsdb.com.sg. I find that job site pretty good.
