1MB to US server ? Thats non-sense. Planning to apply UniFi when its available at my place in Selayang. From the feedback i see so far, connection speed to Australia, Singapore and local seems good, but US 1 MB????

Wah, this is going to make me re-consider. I download like crazy on my current 512kb package. If im going to pay 150% more for my broadband, i expect major improvement.

TM should'nt have to apply the cap thing. it was great at the first, but ppl will get bored downloading or have no more space on their hard drives.. and they will stop downloading eventually. and just download when new tv series or movies came out. so TM, u'll get your precious bandwidth back, no need to apply the download limit.. tongue.gif

Wow that is pretty awesome speeds. For international sites we don't need a lot of speed(3-4mbps should be enough). Thus, still need improvements to it.

The torrents and DDL speeds are pretty awesome, can max out the download speed, very nice indeed.Sure hope that there will not be any caps....

they are getting about 1/2 the speeds at most, haven't seen full speeds from international yet.

I have a US server I can put up files for people to do some download speed testing.

I'm getting 20mbps on all torrents and HTTP links. 200-500KB/s from peers in Japan, US peers are 100-200KB/s.

No point yet, let the number of unifi users build up first, im sure by end of April there will a few hundred subscribers here on LYN. Then we can do something crazy rclxm9.gif

24Mbps only applied to ADSL.
For VDSL managed go up to 52Mbps DL and 16Mbps UL.
VDSL2 can achieve to 100Mbps within 0.5KM range.

Should be able to. In case anyone is still wondering, the 60GB cap does NOT involve IPtv at all. So you can watch tv as much as you want.As for 2GB per day cap (IF 60GB cap will be implemented) , it's not finalized yet.

Source : I asked TM point.

We know its not finalized yet, but until they finalize it, we're going to continue the boycott. Why sign a contract where terms are ambiguous? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Guys u need to understand P2P concept...1MB from US is quite ok actually. Imagine 100 ppl in Malaysia with 1MB downloading the same anime like Naruto from US. U will be leeching each other at that time time. Unleast u download direct http from US site..then cannot do anything lar. But still, the price byte to byte, fiber optic is the future. Imagine download a movie 1.5gb in just 1hr. Don't think streamyx can do that. And i believe now is just hot only...there will be a time...downloading also boring dah. Nothing to download..hahah

At the moment, no traffic caps, no bandwidth issues.. no real need for a local p2p system. The only people it would benefit are Streamyx users but then again they'll all be leeching since their upload is 50KB/s maximum. Installs just started on 29th for retail so maybe if we wait a month or two, there will be a Unifi users thread then we can organize a new system. It'll probably help reduce the impact of p2p on our international links and keep the surfing speed up.

1.5GB in 1 hour? 4mbps Streamyx can do that. Unifi is like 1.5gb in 10 - 14 minutes
