Let's start LYN download hub...
since we got 10mb upload biggrin.gif

this also help to reduce international bandwidth and stable speed.

Let's say, I got RS and downloaded ABC.
I started a thread with all my file list..
FTP server is installed in my PC and I share all my file accordingly...
(LYN doesn't allow any copyright material in this forum)

It shouldnt change at first, there should a notification sent out before all change, or just make download cap like 200GB for 5Mbps, i would love to subscribe it.

and worst is havent reach my area yet, so when i register i need to pay installation fees, like so unfair.

or we can do local torrent tracker style. LYN can always claim they does not host the content. At the same time, a good portal that manages these contents (description, torrent link, reports etc) will be a great success. I know one IPTS that does this, and quality contents (movies, software etc) can be downloaded/torrent at >2Mbps. It saves the international bwidth too!

Yeah but DC++ isn't as good as torrents cause it doesn't allow for multi peer downloading if I'm not mistaken? Need something that can support multiple sources, is a closed network and runs on multiple OSs.

Hi guys,
i just call UniFi customer care and asked a few question, so here is the result( this is what the lady told me)

Speed cap count both upload and download for local and international bandwidth.

Once bandwidth limit is reached, speed will be capped at 80% to 85% (wasn't it 10% ? )

Speed will only be capped for international link local link will not be capped.

These info somehow doesn't convince me, i think the lady didn't know much.

So local and international bandwidth is counted, yet a cap will only affect international link? :S She sounds a bit off. Regardless, we should get some local p2p stuff up tongue.gif More people seem to be signing up for unifi now anyway

DC Hub is not a really good idea. I would suggest using torrent to host. It will be much faster and convenient. Then we need a tracker, and a search tool to help browsing the torrents.

Torrents are harder because some people don't know how to make torrents, port forward and seed them appropriately. DC++ automatically hashes files and shares them.

I agree that DC++ is slow because its single connection downloads but there are other clients such as ApexDC++ ( http://www.apexdc.net/ ) which support multi-source downloading like modern P2P protocols.

as far as i am concern, i encounter a Malaysia torrent tracker last time, hmm forgot the name. But i am sure it was malaysia. So we should use torrent as Demonic Wrath say. Well we can prepare guide on how to do it, and like people used to say "if there is a will, there is a way"
