Hi guys,
i just call UniFi customer care and asked a few question, so here is the result( this is what the lady told me)

Speed cap count both upload and download for local and international bandwidth.

Once bandwidth limit is reached, speed will be capped at 80% to 85% (wasn't it 10% ? )

Speed will only be capped for international link local link will not be capped.

These info somehow doesn't convince me, i think the lady didn't know much.

Depending on who you speak to at Unifi customer care, you get different answers. Some say no cap, some say cap will come back sooner or later. Best is to wait for official announcement as the answers are not consistent at this stage.

Today my Biz5 installed in Bangsar. No cap for Biz packages. I asked the installer about VIP packages. He said currently no cap for VIP packages but cap is inevitable eventually. Anyway - that's just his personal opinion.

Does anyone know how to do port forwarding on the unify d-link router? Still have my 4MB streamyx line. Will go back tonight and do side by side torrent download comparison.

as far as i am concern, i encounter a Malaysia torrent tracker last time, hmm forgot the name. But i am sure it was malaysia. So we should use torrent as Demonic Wrath say. Well we can prepare guide on how to do it, and like people used to say "if there is a will, there is a way"
*
Yea that was their solution to counter TMnets international BT block. If I recall it was just a forum with some torrent modifications (seeder/leech/grab count) and tons of .torrent files posted on it. After a while TM blocked BT connections within the country too so it didn't really work out anymore. This is not the case with Unifi (at the moment) as nothing is being throttled.

Even if there was a guide up, every single file would have to be .torrent'd and seeded 24/7. Lowers the amount of content the P2P network would have whereas in DC++ any file that you search for would be available for download if its listed.

Let's start LYN download hub...
since we got 10mb upload biggrin.gif

this also help to reduce international bandwidth and stable speed.

Let's say, I got RS and downloaded ABC.
I started a thread with all my file list..
FTP server is installed  in my PC and I share all my file accordingly...
(LYN doesn't allow any copyright material in this forum)

I dont mind if its done within the country , makes it easier and reminds me of aussiestyle. Whereby some person would download a huge file and then share it across his wifi ap on his server. Saves bandwidth on both sides , win-win situation. If TM is willing to allow us to do such a thing (provided that they dont count local traffic). A lot of people would start up community sharing , local-based - which again win-win situation for both TM and us.

eh can you list down the typical points needed to purchase, a movie, a documentary channel etc...

that would give us an idea how much 1000 points is worth and if we need to top it up with cash when needed

Getting only 1 Mbps on a 20Mbps line to the US and you're satisfied? That's only 5% of your subscribed speed. LOL.
