hey tumpang sikit, is there anyway to waive the standard chartered visa infinite cc annual fee of RM800?
*
It was (/is) FOC for first year. But I am not sure whether SCB still issues normal VI to those who are not PB customers. AF waiver request for second year onwards is however subject to the bank's approval.

A good news indeed. Haven't heard anything from HSBC. Probably will give them a buzz the first thing tomorrow morning.
*
It still doesn't solve the dilemma. You only delay the decision on cc cancellation. However, it does help to a certain extent. For instance, some Amex cardholders may consider to cancel their cards when the 15% cash back promotion ends in Feb 2010 or after they receive their cash back entitlement, if their card anniversary months fall after the promotion period.

On a different note, you must be very HAPPY with your so-called ANTICIPATED NO LESS THAN 9% RETURN? biggrin.gif Anyway, you should consider yourself LUCKY. tongue.gif

..today, i'm glad that my wish has come true i.e. the billing of the service tax will be on the card anniversary, or at least this is true to AmIslamic card

i just received the bank 10th Dec statement and on it stated 'Billing of GST will be according to your card anniversary month.' Can also redeem bonus points to pay the tax- 10,000 for principal and 5,000 for supp

i will scan and upload the statement tomorrow.. i suppose this is the first black and white statement froma bank?

what a relieve..so sayang to cancel a lot of my collections at one go..hehe happy!
btw, there are no such statement on my EON 9th Dec, Citi Giant 5thDec or Maybanks 3rd Dec (going to wait for my Citi Gold 15th..), so this must be very recent...

My next rant on Citibank. Transfer my loan over to them and it took weeks to get it done. Only after I called in to them, their salesgirl key-in the wrong account number for me. What is wrong with Citibank..

Pay for the OUTSTANDING. (RM500)

The statement balance refers to your spending this month.
The Outstanding balance refers to what you owe to the bank.

The statement balance can be offset by the credit (the amount you paid extra last month) brought forward hence, always refer to outstanding balance for your payment.
Sidenote, always pay in full every month. smile.gif Can keep you out of extra fees and give you a good credit rating. icon_rolleyes.gif

u only need to pay outstanding - RM500 only

in details:
statement balance = RM1000
reversal = RM500 (considered RM500 paid to the RM1000)
oustanding = RM500 (you'll need to pay this one)

Yesterday received a pre-approved StanChart Plat CC Visa doh.gif

Last year I tried apply but is rejected. Now they send me without applying rclxub.gif

Same with my previous HSBC experience. Apply = Reject. Later send me pre-approved. doh.gif

Anyway, it is a bit too late for StanChart. With the RM50 govt. tax looming, I don't think I'm going to active the card, although there is a RM150 cash back for first retail spending.

So far already cancelled 2x MBB and 1x HSBC. Pending DA fax in cancellation.

Saw the Standard Chartered Priority Banking VISA Infinite yesterday at SHELL. The original Standard Chartered Bank VISA Infinite looks classier.

7.30% dividend + 1.25% bonus. 8.55% total. But i'm not getting the full 1.25% bonus. So the total dividend + bonus i am getting this year is actually less than 8%. They are able to give a return of 11% in dividend alone this year, so they say. But that is also what they said in their press release every year whistling.gif Anyway, i ain't complaining rclxms.gif

No, seldom go overseas nowdays. Working under technical department now. Previously attach to venture department. More opprtunity to go overseas.

I plan to use my Alliance Bank Debit Platinum Card, when SCB JustOne max out. If offer 1.5% rebate. Plan to cancel Alliance Bank CC as well.
