Their contractors are useless. The latest upgrade promo to 2 or 4 Mbps comes with a free modem, but the contractor assigned to my case kept denying that fact when I applied to upgrade to 4 Mbps. Showed him the T&C on TM's website and he still didn't believe me! I had to make several trips back to TMPoint just to claim the modem. As for the 14-day warranty by the contractor, it's pure BS. They didn't even bother to call back to follow up on my case.

I just upgrade my 4 year old streamyx RM88 package ---> 1mb combo Rm110---> 2mb combo Rm120 on Monday
already check my upgrade status for 2mb (in progress)
just now check at home
tmnut already open my 2mb port (modem detect the dl=2044 ul=500)
did a test using speedtest.net mange to score 1.7mbps
but the tm contractor didnt come
but again tmnut will charge me RM88 for installation

I thought that upgrading to 4mb, they will give you a modem. In the Terms & Conditions say so.

6. For upgrading to 2 Mbps or 4 Mbps, the new package is with modem.

Yesterday, technician came to my house to check my line, and he say i can upgrade to 4mb. He ask me whether to proceed with upgrade, i say yes and he called whoever at TM side, then passed the phone to me for me to do verification. I was so happy that i totally forgot about the modem. In the evening, i asked my brother whether the technician say anything about modem. he told me that when he take a peek at the technician order/instruction page screen, there is a note saying something like "don't give this customer a modem because he already have modem to use".

How come like that? Even actually i don't need a new modem, but the terms is clearly noted the package is with modem, but they not giving me one. Now waiting for my line changed to 4mb, then i request for that modem.

I know that. Let me quote my post a few pages back. I just don't want to wasting my time to que up at TMpoint, then they got reason to deny my claim.

So damn bloody piss off with the installer, it has been one week since i called the installer and he always ffk the appointment...call him for about 8 times already and always never turn up. Call 100 to complain then they send over some tmnet guy that doesn't do the upgrade. I applied for the upgrade since 4th December and it has been nothing but issues for me. First they appointed the wrong installer (he's not in charged of my Shah Alam area), then this guy who doesn't turn up. He has been FFk-ing me everyday since Monday. Pls can anyone help me !!!

ur is RM77 ? but i thought its 512kbps ? how come is 1mbps ?

if u having standard pakej , speed of 512kbps , u  r not entitled to having upgrade to combo offer . its stated in their duno t & c or frequent ask question .

but if u r rm88 with speed of 1mbps , u  r entitled . but there are more procedur to it . standard migrate to combo rm 110 then upgrade super deal 2mbps 120 .

streamyx offered the rm77 for 1 Mb twice. once during merdeka promotions 2009, and super holiday savers plan 2007 (december)

promotion not fair to other who subscribe 4mb coz they still pay old charge koz cant upgrade anything else, and price higher compare to other user standard/combo package upgrade to 4mb
