bro mana cukup, ur mileage per week shud hv been 40 -50 a week tongue.gif and that doesn't include speedwork/ hill work biggrin.gif
if wan to steady steady for marathon den its close to 60 -80 a week.. pros hit 100km ++ a week smile.gif

and of coz tapering is important the week before the race or sometimes 2 -3weeks before the race..
i do suppose u can suka suka taper oso la.. coz its difficult to run like realli often..

pre scklm my lsd is 30k ma, so plus weekday 30k =60k lo. still under distance la, but my goal is to simply complete the distance without much difficulty only. not going for timing.

now back to 40k per week should be comfortable for a half marathon rite?

But now injured, have to recover first.

Marvin,

Take ur time to rest and make a strong comeback for training. i shhud resume my training by next week or week after next. will clock in the miles again in preparation for my TNF 100k DUO, then PBIM and the FINALE will be the Putrajaya 12hr walk. I m not sure if there are any races in between but will always be good to do some races in between our training.

Note: I m planning Gold Coast Mara in 2010. This will be early part of July. If u r keen, do let me know.

I going for PBIM, either half or full still undecided.

Gold coast sound very interesting. I'll see how things pan out. Maybe depend on my GE30k timing next year.

I want to ask this from you guys (those that are not the winner type). Have you been to those races or take part in categories that are without timing chip? Normally the small scale race and also the short distance (10km). If you do, I'm sure you know how the finishing line is right? Full of people.

My question is, when do you stop your time? It is a long queue till the finishing line. Do you wait till you really cross the line? which will definitely take longer time. Or do you stop the time as you reach at the back of the queue? which is technically not the finishing line yet. In my opinion, both do not give you the real time. Then, how?

I stop when I queue. Add a few seconds as needed wink.gif Whenever I count minutes, I always round up - e.g 1hr30mins05secs = 1hr31mins

There was a carnival thingy going on beside the stadium also what. Shah Alam drivers arent used to hving traffic jam... ahh.. boohoo.

Had a torturing run. But towards the end after entering stadium entrance, my husband saw me from afar and grabbed my hand. We ran towards the finish line together. He finished a few mins earlier and was already wearing his selipar. He's such a doll I tell you wink.gif

Okay, I think it was my mistake also. Didn't train at all after the Siemens Run and then I go straight for the KOTR 22km. Maybe that's why.

beginning of the bridge to the toll where we do the U-turn is oredi ard 11km. To and Fro is 22km. From QBM to the bridge is ard 1.5km (x2) = 3km. In total is 25km. So its not an easy run, therefore gotta pace urself out.
