QUOTE(tenno @ Jul 13 2009, 02:47 PM) fate has it.. i broke my personal best yesterday by breaking the hour.. & this morning while riding my motorbike to work, going at 80km/h+, my rear tire came off, & i went down crashing.. broke my left radius (arm). the doc said they need to insert a plate, right now it's in a partial cast. i dunno how long it's gonna take to heal.. i hope i can still make the adidas kotr. other than broken left arm, there are cuts & bruises everywhere ? a deep cut in my left toe, dislocated shoulder.. thts it i guess.. damn thats so dangerous...get well soon tenno...take it easy for the next few months you'll be back on the roads running in no time! |

The ASICS models are quite high end stuffs, I can't afford la :'( scoop just FYI you can check out those em GT-2140's as Asics Concept Store in Queensbay Mall or go directly to their supplier in Komtar Ground Floor, the shop is directly beneath the huge LCD, all Asics carry 20% discount, got my shoes from there...Phoenix, you got GT-2140? |

QUOTE(ccube @ Jul 20 2009, 09:52 AM) Congrats to those who ran Siemens Run yday. It was indeed a very well organised race especially for the Pom Pom gals who gave me extra booster for the final push. Ccube what was ur run timing for Siemens ler? sure power and sadly the distance is what that separates me from joining all of these runs... SHAPE Run, we all from LYN gotta gather together and take a picture, what do u think. Maybe we can park at the carpark next to the Palace Of Justice, and meet at a specific time. Be early so that there is more time for us to lepak and sembang. Deal?? Anyone still giving away or selling SHAPE Run bib (mens), plz let me know. |

QUOTE(Liuism @ Jul 30 2009, 12:03 PM) the shoes i talking abt is those like working shoes, outing shoes..flat, hard wan If you do run... then get a proper running shoe, the flat hard shoes i guess ur referring to are badminton or court type of shoes, use the shoe for its intended purpose i dun train for 10k, but i do alot of sports occassionally..i run oso run for 2.4-5k below 20 mins, i train endurance more.. if u want to do both then get a cross trainer, no point of u complaining your legs and feet ache when you couldnt care less to protect it properly in the first place! yee haw registered for Singapore Marathon, I planned all my itenary's |

QUOTE(afieQ @ Jul 30 2009, 04:20 PM) Side stitch is caused by a things the first as pointed out by Devilzzz, your abs/core muscles are weak secondly your breathing technique is wrong Try incorporating more core workouts if you really plan to run, google up and check in youtube for core excercises, planks, sideplanks , bird dogs just to name a few core workouts that you can try as for your breathing technique try to run at a comfortable pace 1st and figure out you breathing technique then notch it up higher slowly |
