I'm not sure this thread is for serious runners or what. But it's a surety that I didn't run anymore now.

What if I go running again? I think I'm going to crash after 100 metres.

I really doubt if you would "crash" after a 100 meters..
That also depends on how hard you are running the 100m.. If you serious about running again then just start off with short distances and a real slow pace..

Mens one next round, in another month or so. Most of my mens model are pretty up to date and not off season yet except for Triumph 5.

I played competitive sports last time. Was an active scout too. I don't do it slow. HaiZZZ. Working is different story all together.

Last time, football EVERYDAY. Badminton 2 times per week. Mountain biking EVERYDAY. Running almost EVERYDAY.

Present time, working 5 days per week CONSISTANTLY. Gaming almost EVERYDAY.

The only exercise is walking from office to my car. Or going out some where near to grab lunch during lunch hour.

Regards, Joey

p.s: Miraculously my BMI calculation shows that I'm fit category. Height 175cm. Weight 75kg. Almost consistent.

Running on and off again since a few months ago (used to run a lot last time, stopped for around 1-2 years). Not sure whether I should keep running again or not... Don't really enjoy the jabbing pain on my knees.

@d3vilzzzz:

Not sure what other techniques of running are there - running the same style since young (will Google a bit later after work to see).
Too much too soon? Again, not sure, I am sure that I am doing this very moderately - just starting off with slow jog (5-10 minutes) and the pain starts.
Shoes are just some plain shoes that I wear all the time (old Timberland shoes).
Stopped running after getting the jabbing pain after a week of running. Was worried that I will make it worse if I continue running despite the pain.

No one else have jabbing pain on their knees? Just want to see whether this is common or I am the only bugger in town.

Joey, wow u have great budget for a pair of running shoes. Then I shud intro u to NEWTON. Definitely the technology to enable forefoot / midfoot running for better efficiency. NIKE will never come near to such technology. let me know if you are interested. else just pay 300+ for a great pair of top end SAUCONY Triumph 6 (voted best cushion shoe by Runners World)

Ann, tell me how u like Triumph 6 over Triumph 5. Sean fr Cari Runners is loving it, and so is the Bidor Kaki group. Next race I hope to see the Green Hornets flooding the route.

I'm trying to get a bulk for Vibram Five Fingers going so come have a look! If you have no idea what this is, it's the current talk of the town, a pair of shoes that helps you mimic running barefooted. They won TIME's Best Invention in 2007, so check it out:

Yea...I'm kind of new here. I bought the Nike's Max Tail Wind. (I really forgotten it's full name correctly but that pair of running shoes is Heaven!)

Anyway, the weather seems warm these couple of months. I'd rather stay at home doing my stuff. Well, for those who are into running, drink lots of fluid and keep hydrated.

this again show u new in running too. tongue.gif

normally people runs on early morning, lets say 6.30am for 10km o 20km.

some even start at 5.45am for 20km which they plan to run slow.

the reason is to avoid the hot sun later...

Msian whether is HOT all round the year, meaning u rather stay at home?
