QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 16 2009, 11:30 PM) May i know if you enjoy an automatic annual fee waiver on your HSBC VISA Platinum ? And did you ask your RM to applied the HSBC VISA Platinum as an additional card for you ? My RM did not apply for my HSBC visa platinum. A credit card sales staff did. However, I do hope that i can be spared from paying the exorbitant annual fee I have no reason to believe they have any reason to charge you an annual fee as long as you remain a premier customer regardless of who applied for your card . My parents have multiple cards with Citibank and they have never been charged any annual fees. They are Citigold customers. Does HSBC issue visa infinite cards in Malaysia?Not quite. VISA Infinite is ranked higher than VISA Signature. VISA Signature is widely available in USA. Also offered by DBS Bank and UOB Bank in Singapore but unfortunately not in Malaysia. QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 16 2009, 08:39 PM) @winner, Actually I am telling the truth when I say my UOB Plat has the most outrageous limit amongst everyone here ....... makes me feel so proud & fuzzy I don't see a point in comparing how much CLs we have; i don't find it v ego-boosting or breaking » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Added on July 17, 2009, 8:05 am QUOTE(winner @ Jul 16 2009, 07:18 PM) But nobody is willing to expose his/her CL exactly. Maybe you can start with your Infinite 1st? Hahaha Erh, I can only say its limits are capped It depends on bank's policies. Some banks are very strict on late payment. Some good examples are CIMB and Ambank. Added on July 17, 2009, 8:08 am QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 16 2009, 08:54 PM) @taxpayer, For "by invitation only" cards, there are still the CIMB Enrich World Mastercard & MBf World Mastercard for now CIMB's asking for RM240k income p/annum whilst SCB is RM150k p/annum. Currently, only RHB's Visa Infinite remains 'By Invitation Only'. I guess it's business afterall and bottom lines what's most important This post has been edited by tgeoklin: Jul 17 2009, 08:08 AM |

Credit limit is not a person's worth and it is only virtual overdraft given by the bank. You got to pay whatever spent.
I am very scared that my card will be hacked and illegal spending occurs. The higher the CL, the higher the risk ones got to endure. |

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jul 16 2009, 10:09 PM) Wah, very efficient one week already get letter. Call them and ask and maybe you'll get an answer. Like winner mentioned, go apply for other cards. Or if you bank with HLB, they do issue card with one of their accounts (smartlink or something like that). Yes, Alliance has improved a lot now. Early last week, I requested the bank to replace my Younique with Plat instead, as I wanna get 2x points for overseas transactions. And I received the cc 1 week later. But its efficiency is still a far cry if compared to Citi. Give them some time.QUOTE(Michael_G @ Jul 16 2009, 10:28 PM) hurm wondering why im not qualify to apply it le.. my salary over RM18k le.. Well, you have to accept it. And now, you may consider other banks offering cash rebate. If I am mistaken, cash rebate and FOC are your main requirements. You may try to apply for DA/CIMB, as they recently increase the cash back rate and participating merchants for specific days. Above all, it's quite easy to be approved if you are a degree holder. if i can back to the person that handle me that day do u think she can answer why i cant get my card..?? HLB ah? i got HLB acc but no $$ de QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 16 2009, 10:28 PM) @winner, Hey hey hey...let me clarify. I gave U indication meh a few days ago?! Mana ada?! Eh.. oK.. revealing CL is a no-no. In that case, can I have your monthly income? @VeeJay, winner doesn't want to reveal it is because he's got like RM200k CL on one card, RM90k on another and perhaps RM60k on another one. The total combined CL he has is probably sufficient to pay for a bungalow in Rawang - unlike us, RM5k saje so that's why he a bit antsy lor 1. Revealing monthly income = Exposing CL (vice versa) 2. Rawang? It's too far away for me! In the Klang Valley, anything more than 30km from KLCC is out of my radar screen. FYI, a bungalow in Rawang doesn't cost as much as a brand new superlink in Mutiara Damansara or Desa Parkcity. 3. RM200k CL? Mine is still a far cry...and I won't chase for it anyway. 4. I can't even afford the villa facing Valencia Golf Course which you bought lately. |

QUOTE(hye @ Jul 16 2009, 05:05 PM) No other catch to it except the Interbank charges. Just one note ... take care of the date you pay your credit card via Interbank. If you post the transaction on the same day before 12pm, it will clear on the same day. If you post it after 12pm then the money is only going to your cc account 2 days later. oh didn't noe that. thanks!Just to mention coz we don't want you to pay late charges unnecessarily. @winner,
HEY! We aren't suppose to reveal TOO much personal stuff and U indirectly did!! @zazaza2009, Fraud does happen but when tracked and if U can proof U haven't lost your card U should be fine. It's a different scenario altogether for lost/stolen CCs hence U got to be a little careful where U keep ur Cards. @taxpayer, Hmm.. looks like we have another high roller here; if U want to put in application for the SCB Visa Infinite then go ahead but seriously do U need so many CCs? |

Like charging you late payment fee when there are no late payment. Many friends have been there many times so it is not an isolated incident.This post has been edited by Optiplex330: Jul 17 2009, 10:04 AM |

QUOTE(Reventon @ Jul 16 2009, 10:56 PM) Infinite or World doesn't make you exclusive lah ! Some of the bank staff don't even know the " existence " of this card too , to them the highest is platinum currently Hee~ That's "exclusive" also come with unwanted attention sometimes. If Centurion available in Malaysia I believe you also will be in Amex list. But do think Amex Plat Charge Card is still exclusive as it was the highest card available in MY?But Vampy's Centurion certainly is the only " exclusive " card around here QUOTE(zazaza2009 @ Jul 17 2009, 08:54 AM) Credit limit is not a person's worth and it is only virtual overdraft given by the bank. @vampbreak,
You're right - we shouldn't actually be giving U so much credit since the Centurion card U have is a supplementary card I guess it really depends what U define as exclusive. Super rich people really don't care what card they hold, seriously! |

Vin_ann,
I am not that real world kind of scare but worried. Guess this is the risk everyone have to endure in this cyber age. I have a friend as a victim. So she has to make police report and wasted lots of her time and night of sleep. However I will not downgrade to gold card because I have to improve in life and not walk backwards. Just becareful in handling your CC. This post has been edited by zazaza2009: Jul 17 2009, 10:25 AM |

@vampbreak,
Unlike some forummers, I'm really not chasing after the status of the Black card hence makes no difference to me. I did spend USD250k last year but I wasn't able to swipe everything I purchased hence it's not reflected in my CC statements I rather be using my time to chase after either more $ or men! muAhaHAHah *cruel laugh* So who's the 2nd Centurion holder here?! He / She is certainly doing well to keep a low profile This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jul 17 2009, 10:30 AM |

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 17 2009, 10:29 AM) @vampbreak, Haha! You have point! You must be rich as spending 250k UD is more than RM 1mil. I will buy GTR for that amount of money. @changjie83,
Er.. most of the time U dont need to provide account numbers to them even if they asked for it Anyhow, even if they do check, it probably will be on randam basis. @vampbreak, Ah well... *shrugs* I don't go about discussing other people's CC business in other threads so let's just leave it as it is. U know him so it's difference Unlike U, I wouldn't use RM1m to buy a GTR - I think it's ridiculous to spend that kinda $ on a 'liability'. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jul 17 2009, 12:47 AM) Did he/she use your HSBC Premier Mastercard to apply for this card ? I'm just interested to know Yes. my application for the visa platinum was approved on the basis of my Premier Master Card. I did not submit any documents. My pay is significantly below their requirement anyway and i wont qualify. I think they will be more than happy to give you the visa platinum anytime if you have been holding the premier master card for more than a year and have nothing outstanding on it. Is platinum or premier master card the most exclusive card you can get from HSBC malaysia? No. They don't. |
